Great scenery
Very great scenery and its peaceful. Love the layout . Greens are very firm and small so precision is a must. Fairways are hard as a rock and hard to get a lot of spin due to this. Definitely need more grass in the fairway but waant horrible. Bunkers are horrible they need alot of work. Tee boxes were in good shape. Very challenging course from the tips.
Beautiful course, Excellent condition
Everything great, except layout has some blind shots and lots of elevation changes.
Enjoyable Round!
We enjoyed our day at Old Beau. Have played there many times over the years. Temperature is 10 degrees cooler than courses below the mountain. We had the course to ourselves on this Friday afternoon. Course was in great shape, greens especially! Staff was friendly and helpful! Plan to play it again this summer!
Very beautiful golf course
First off the staff was great. Very friendly. Course is very well kept and manicured. It is the definition of a mount course with many elevation changes and lots of scenery. Some very challenging fairways and greens but I thoroughly enjoyed playing there. Played from the white tees and glad I did. May have been too difficult from the blues or gold tees. I’m a 11 handicap.
Beautiful golf course
Absolutely a gorgeous mountain course. Very well maintained. Pace of play was great
Awesome!!
This course is amazing the layout is challenging but will worth highly recommend this place!!
Must Play
I have played Olde Beau many times, it is one of the most scenic courses in North Carolina. The conditioning is fabulous, the mountain views are awesome and the facilities are great. I would not recommend it for the average walker, you will need to be in excellent shape. The course has many challenging holes so bring your A game! love the course.
Wow!
This course is stunning! I have played quite a few mountain courses in the decades I’ve been coming here, but this one is special. It’s beautiful and challenging but without being unfair. You are rewarded for being in the fairway, but still allowed room to miss without having to dig back into the bag. There is a high level of risk reward. The greens were large and surprisingly flat making for a fun experience. I’ll be back!
Bring the A game you’re gonna need it!
Nice course, requires precision shot placement. Greens were perfect! Super fun course and beautiful!
Check your cart
This was the third time playing Olde Beau. Is was as I remember. Greens, bunkers and tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were good for the most part. Incredible views from many areas throughout the course. The issue we had was with the golf carts themselves. We had to go through 3 carts before we found one that was safe to maneuver up and down this very hilly layout. The first one was unable to make it up an incline from a standing start and had to back down a hill to get a running start to make it up the hills. We changed out carts at the turn. The second cart was even worse as the brakes would lock up even going at a slow pace down a hill. This was very concerning as there are many steep inclines and sharp turns to maneuver. When we were able to get a phone signal,we notified the pro shop and they brought a third cart out to us. No apologies from anyone in the pro shop for this. Love the golf course but will very likely not return.
Extremely challenging back nine
Olde Beau is not a course for the faint hearted. Even riding in a cart it is physically demanding with many changes of elevation. The mountain views are spectacular, handling the golf cart demands extreme care on some of the very steep cart paths. Number seventeen is a hold one never forgets.
Great
Beautiful day, beautiful weaher, perfect day for golf. Course was in very good condition. Greens were very nice. Enjoyable round of golf. I would recommend. Extremely scenic course.
Mountain Gem
Course was in excellent shape even with updates being done.We were able to play at our own pace and the staff was very friendly. Will be making the 45 minute drive to play it again.
Excellent condition and friendly staff . Very challenging layout . Golfers should put this one on their bucket list .
Great mountain course
Overall this was a great course and the layout is very tough, the views are exceptional and I highly recommending playing this course
Beautiful Course
We drove up from Charlotte to play on Saturday. Drive is easy and the course was more than worth it. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in amazing condition. Beautiful views and quiet. Will be back very soon!

what a course! it is not a ordinary golf course. every hole is tee very high or green very high. nice layout and fantastic mountain view if you do not see mountains everyday. green was almost perfect. fairways are little thin and green sides are wet and muddy which was worst part of the course.most tough course I ever played.
Challenging
This is a very difficult course with small greens and narrow, terraced fairways..Little to no room for error. Several greens were blind and very unforgiving. I've never had so many challenging shots in one round of golf. Many of them were from the fairway. This course was a humbling experience for me. Be prepared.
Sorry to hear about your experience. Olde Beau Resort and Golf Club would like to speak with you concerning your visit. We strive for our players to enjoy the mountain experience to the fullest. We also have a brand new fleet of 2020 Yamaha Golf Carts.
