Fantastic view and green

#14 and 15 have fantastic autumn mountain view. I love the green I wonder why other courses can not keep their greens like this. Drive 150 miles from home is the only problem but. Still worth it

Was this???

Was this a 5 hour round? Yes. Was there a ranger enforcing pace of play? No. Looking past all of that, was this the most fun that I have ever had on a golf course? Yes. This was my first time on a mountain course and I hope that it is not the last. The layout is fantastic and when you have to wait on 6 slow foresomes in front of you, there is always a panoramic view to behold. I couldn’t tell you what my score was because I had so much fun that, at the end of the day, I did not care enough to add it up. I will remember so much about this round of golf for a long time. Thank you.

Beautiful and Challenging Course

Mountain golf at its finest. There is a lot of elevation, blind shots to greens/fairways, and side/up hill lies. Bring your A game. Good news if your game suffers you only have to look around you at the stunning vistas and nature - and all is well. Highly recommend this course.

Amazing Views

Probably one of the best back 9’s in North Carolina and the bent grass greens are perfect.

Spectacular views! (Yardage book mandatory for 1st-timers!!!!!!!)

Views are truly incredible! Staff is friendly. Course is in great shape. It was our first time playing OB and by the third hole we realized we desperately needed a yardage book because of the blind shots. Pro shop was out. We lost count of how many holes we had to ride up to be sure we wouldn’t hit into the group in front. We got hit into three times. My point is not to degrade the course -the course is excellent and in great shape!- but to convey the VERY importance of knowing where to hit and when to lay up. I can personally assure you you’ll score several strokes better and save a few balls.

Great course! We’ll play again….with a yardage book! :)

Incredible! I don't understand how this place doesn't have a full tee sheet every day!

I was visiting in Creston, NC. Got a Hot Deal for 9:10AM 38.99. The course was about 90 minutes from where I was staying but seemed like a good deal and the course reviews were all very positive. I arrived and the parking lot was fairly empty on a gorgeous Thursday morning. I was by myself and walked into the clubhouse the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. He directed me to a cart and pointed me to the range and putting green. The range and putting green were in great shape so I had high expectations. I was not disappointed.

I was a solo at 9:10 AM on a hot deal. There was no one on the course. I leisurely played through 7 holes and didn't see anyone but grounds crew out and about. I caught up to a couple on 7/8 and laid back a bit. They were at the turn and kindly offered me to play through. Went through the back nine and had the course to myself.

The greens were some of the best I've ever played. The greens rolled true and were smooth. The fairways, traps, 1st cut, etc was all in excellent shape.

There are some beautiful homes on the course as well as some AMAZING views.

If ever in the area I will absolutely return to Olde Beau. They've got a cute logo as well. Picked up a shirt for myself and one to bring home to my son.

Shot a 91...not great but not complaining for the first time on the course. Beautiful day!

Great course, excellent layout, AMAZING VIEWS

Love this course! Everything is in great shape, expecially the greens. The mountain views are absolutely wonderful. The fairways can be a little sparce in some areas but it's not a tournament, move the ball to good grass which is easy to find.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND a golf app and a range finder with slope for this place. There are SIGNIFICANT elevation changes on most holes.

PS: a tip for the last par 5 - hit your tee shot right of the rock in the fairway, you'll have a chance to reach in 2. Left of the rock is dead unless you're a slicer.

Great course, Amazing Views!

Greens and tee boxes are exceptional, fairways can be a little rough in some areas. Well worth the time and $ to play here. SPECTACULAR mountain views on many of the holes. Take some extra balls :)

Wow

True test of golf. Positioning of shots a key. A lot of blind shots from the back tees. Hit a 3 wood or long iron off #17 tee over the rock or just left for the best angle to hit the par 5 in 2. Majestic views will distract you when playing. Greens were rolling well so pay attention to the slopes or you’ll card an easy 3 putt. Worth the travel
