About Springdale at Cold Mountain

Springdale at Cold Mountain has been bolstered in 2021 with a new clubhouse, which is the lifeblood of the resort's "Village at Springdale", which is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is home to the Rocky Face Tavern, a welcome center, fitness center and outdoor pool. An old stone patio and outdoor fireplace are gathering spots in summer. Guests can choose from 18 different villas, homes, townhomes and cottages to rent. The 6,865-yard course has also been recently renovated.

Fun & Challenging

Course was lush. All the tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. Greens was very firm and mowed very close so were fast. Mike in the golf shop, range marshal and cart attendants so friendly and helpful. Front 9 holes are in the valley whereas the back 9 have quite changes in elevation.

Forever Mountains

Course is in great shape. Fairways carpet grass. Greens true. Will probably hold better as it warms. Starter very helpful to get us going and adjust with near groups for pace of play. Lil slow on the back for a couple foursomes.

My partner has mastered the "Springdale spasm" with three times making par. Views on the back are beautiful mountains! The ice/water at the turn house is a nice touch. The restaurant has great food, although we dideeat this time. Overall has to be one of the best around. Will continue to return.
