Springdale at Cold Mountain
About Springdale at Cold Mountain
Springdale at Cold Mountain has been bolstered in 2021 with a new clubhouse, which is the lifeblood of the resort's "Village at Springdale", which is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is home to the Rocky Face Tavern, a welcome center, fitness center and outdoor pool. An old stone patio and outdoor fireplace are gathering spots in summer. Guests can choose from 18 different villas, homes, townhomes and cottages to rent. The 6,865-yard course has also been recently renovated.Facts

Great course will be back
This was a wonderful course with a fun layout and not ce greens. It was Spring conditions so I want to get back out when everything is in full foliage and the rough is grown in but even today it was really fun to play.
Jewel in the Blue Ridge Mountains
My favorite track in the greater Asheville area, truly a jewel in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The staff is super friendly and accommodating but the greatest compliment has to go to the greens keeper. Although I have not met him and would like to in order to personal thank him and the powers to be for taking such pride in this course. Proper sand in the bunkers, proper aeration and top dressing of the greens, proper water management, proper repair of the fairways etc etc.
Yes the greens roll true around 10-11on the stimp meter on April 1st, although the greens were hard and would not hold my shots as they usually do they were consistent throughout the round. Truly a Jewel.
Golf more
I always enjoy playing Springdale. Always a joy to play a mountain course.. The course I always a challenge and I love it.
New favorite WNC course!
This place is great, the views are beautiful, the course is in great shape, there isn’t a bar/restaurant at the moment but there will be one by March 20th or so and it looks like it’s gonna be great too just from peeking in the windows. The back nine eats my lunch but it’s fun.
Springdale headed for great things.
Springdale is a great course for all players. They have really turned around the upkeep and moving in the right direction!
The day we played they were controlled burning dead grass so it was a smokey mess. But all in all great place!
Mountain course
This was the second time we had played Springdale. The first was a couple years ago. The course was in great shape for the time of year.
They have recently built a new clubhouse which is beautiful. The restaurant/bar was not open yet but it was expected to open in 2 more weeks.
The course meanders through the valley with some very nice residential homes tucked in that do not encroach on the course. There are a couple creeks that make play interesting and provide a nice ambiance.
Staff was super nice!! They had brand new electric golf carts with GPS and plush seats.
This course is a bit remote but it’s worth the drive. I will return and would consider staying for a golf retreat weekend.
Always improving course
The management is always improving this course abs it is better every time we go. Always a favorite for value and condition
Golf at Springdale
Played on 2/21/2022 as a single and went out at 10:00am. The course from tee to green in great shape for the winter. The fairways were green and tee boxes had grass on them and greens rolled true around a 9. The restaurant is not open until March so bring your own food. They sell beer and sodas. I will definitely play this course again when I am in Asheville area.
