Linden Hall

About Linden Hall
Linden Hall touts itself as "one of Pennsylvania's best secrets". This 785-acre estate is home to a historic 74-room lodge and a 6,405-yard golf course that winds up and down the region's rolling hills. The 8,720-square-foot Linden Hall mansion contains 35 rooms, 27 fireplaces, 13 baths, an indoor bowling alley and walk-in clothes dryer. An Aeolian pipe organ, one of three in the world, could be heard throughout the first and third floors when played. Today, the mansion, dating to 1913, is used by the United Steel Workers of America. The Club Pub restaurant overlooking the 18th fairway, a heated outdoor pool and hiking/biking trails are available.Facts

Slow
It was extremely backed up to many group of 4s back to back with people rhat where obviously to druck to play goofing around to much instead of playing at a steady pace then 2 group of 4s joined together on back 9 so I had to play behind a group of 4 that was super druck then a group of 8 college / high school kids goofing around with no ranger driving around to make sure pace of play was moving at nice pace
Off the beaten path
Well maintained course. However, over the river and through the woods to arrive at this location. Some distance from a main road. Pace of play was slow.
Linden Hall Yeah
The course is fun and fair. A couple holes are quirky, with odd angles, but nothing bananas. It is set around a very old mansion on top of a hill. It's all pretty old school. It does help very much to play the course of couple of times, or with someone familiar with the course.
Great condition

Keeps getting better
I have been playing Linden Hall for years and the course just keeps getting better. The conditions of the course are always top-notch. it is a layout that can challenge any golfer. Work continues on new tees and clearing of areas previously not mowed. For those who had reservations about the little gnats which were once an issue, they are gone. I have played this course at least 6 times this season and have not seen any of them. If you were bothered by the bugs, fear not, and come back.
very nice course
We all drove an hour to get here to try out and was pleasantly pleased with the layout and conditions. The Fairways are wide open which we all like do to our senior age. Very good conditions. We will be back!
Great staff and course was awesome.
