Best in the area.
From tee box to greens the course is in amazing shape. Par threes can range between 135 yards to 205 yards. Front is fairly open and back is a bright tighter. The course is fair to you as long as you keep it in the short grass. I'm a 24 hdc and shot an 87 the other day! Love this course!
Friendly staff and great course. Pace of play was great today!
Staff was extremely friendly. Pace of play was great today. Food at snack shop onsite was delicious.
Improved conditions
The course has always been in pretty decent shape but they have done a really good job in the past few months getting it ready for the summer season. The bunkers were in excellent shape. It appears they had a recent renovation and it’s paid off. Tees and fairways were in really good condition. Greens were in good shape. They had verti-cut that morning but they still rolled well. It is worth the little extra drive from Charleston. Excellent value for the price since you can’t touch anything around Charleston for less than $60 anymore.
Great condition with the best greens
I love playing Santee National. The course is always in great condition and the greens roll so true and perfect. The layout is challenging but when you hit a good shot you're rewarded.
Great course
Played the course after a heavy storm so pace of play was great. Greens, fairways, tee boxes and bunkers in great shape.
Always in good shape
This course is always in good shape sometimes pace of play is slow. As they have groups playing that won’t let you through. This day had a decent pace of play.

Outstanding course layout and excellent conditions of greens fairways, and green fringes. Staff was very very helpful. Course play was great.

Conditions
We've been coming here for 10 years each spring from Ohio and best shape this course has been.
One of my favorites
First, some of those 4 stars can and probably will be 5 at some points. The course is in very good but not great condition. That will certainly improve (it’s only April). The greens had also recently been tended to so there was some sand still on the surface. It was no big deal, the greens ran nicely and were pretty quick, I’d guess they were running around 10 for my round. The fairways are nice, the tee boxes are nice, really nothing to complain about with this course. I love the layout as the front 9 is more like a links course and the back 9 is a woodlands course. There’s a nice mix of flat and hilly, straight and dogleg. Santee National is a fantastic course if you like variety all in one 18 hole round. I highly recommend.
