Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa

Very nice setting. Practice range, putting, chipping and pitching. Pro shop took quite awhile to find my res. Then asked me to write out my credit card info for renting clubs. That puts the renter at risk of having info stolen. Pro shop gave me a slip for the starter and had someone else’s name on it. The cart had the wrong course card on it. Fairways were spotty. Greens good. Some very nice holes bot others were overly wide. Lots of bunkers and water. No Marshall’s to check pace of our very slow play.

Beautiful course great staff they go above and beyond to make your experience top-notch

We checked in for our 2:04 tee time, were told they were “a little backed up”. We actually teed off at 2:35, and had a wait on nearly every teebox. Pace of play was poor, no Ranger in sight to keep things moving. Otherwise, a typical resort island course, friendly enough for beginners, and just challenging enough for the better golfer.

Course conditions were about the same as anything else you will play in the area. The staff wasn’t friendly and the pace of play was 5.5 hours with no ranger we played the last 4 holes as a 5 some and still caught the group in front every hole. In my opinion take your money elsewhere.

Nice layout, green in good condition but very firm. Fairway very firm. Sand trap needs some care!

Greens were in great shape. Sand traps were hard dirt. Many better options for over $150.

We had a great round of golf. The head pro Jay is your man for answers. Only issue is rental clubs are weak. Will come back.

Course was in good condition, staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The GM was absolutely awesome. They picked the right person for the role.
