Seed your grass!!!!
Based on what I heard from the staff, the owner of the courses (Hyatt?) did not want to over seed the grass in the past year because it didn't want to spend the money. While the course is actually really fun and challenging, the grass conditions were an embarrassment. Also, you need to provide better signage for finding the pro shop as it is buried behind other buildings.
Challenging course
I would definitely recommend this course. I played it for the first time today and found the layout interesting. Lots of water holes and the greens are small. Water hazards are definitely in play if you miss the green left or right.
Some of the fairways are tight favoring those who are comfortable teeing off with a three wood. The on shore breeze was also in play on most of the holes.
I would definitely come back.
Wild Dunes Harbor course
The layout was nice very narrow and a lot of water. Hit straight and you can score well. Greens were fast on the front but the back was a little inconsistent. Over all I would play again
WIld Dunes Harbor Course
The weather was perfect and I played with old buddies. The course was in pretty good conditions. They could have been a bit better, especially the greens but they rolled true.
Most gorgeous course I’ve personally ever played!
When I knew I was coming to Charleston, (April 20-24, 2021), I knew there had to be a golf course on the ocean. I’ve never golfed on the ocean. While only the last three holes have ocean views, it’s totally worth the wait. 17 and 18 are absolutely incredible! I didn’t tee off till after 4:00pm, the pace of play was kinda slow, but we made it through 18 holes before sunset, which made the last holes even better with sunset on the beach. Thanks to a Hot Deal and a promo code Tee Off had going on, I played this course for waaaayyyyyy cheaper than I ever expected! (Keep watching the app and try to wait for promo codes!) Overall, the course was most definitely pristine! I was more than satisfied with my experience!
Waste of money
The tee times were over booked .took 2 hours 20 min to play 9 holes plus there was no Marshall on the course . In addition for the fee , there was absolutely no grass . Course in poor condition . Disappointed.... had to wait every hole
Great day
Staff is great. Little unclear n getting out, but just a small oversight other part, no biggie. Starter and all staff very friendly. Layout is great, grass is sooo short and fairways a bit rough, but NOT bad. Maybe I'm just not used to fairways being that slick and flat. I would play again but would also try to get a better deal. Probably a bit overpriced but for a special "one time" while on vacation was fine.
A must play
Probably one of the top 5 courses I’ve ever played. I strongly suggest this course for a trip the resort is also really nice.
Unique and scenic layout . The fairways were in poor condition.
