Course is challlenging
Has a variety of hills, water and sand. Great elevations and slopes. Conditions were cold and wet but staff was exemt!!!
Great course in the mountains
Enjoyed the variety of hole layouts. Some easy, some difficult, two holes with vertical drops. Friendly staff. Nice carts but watch out for the battery light! If it needs charging, tell them so you won't get stuck!
Staff and Course
Very friendly staff on hand to assist with any questions or concerns. We ended up playing 36 holes, and would recommend this course to anyone.
greens need attention
Greens slow and had some bare spots ,nice layout on the back 9.
Speed golf
We were able to play 18 holes in under 3 hours. Not many people playing this course and we usually picked out ball up when we got on the distressed and slow greens.
The scenery was the best part.
Interesting.
Fun course, back nine very fun but a couple of holes need to be changed. Nice walk to #14 tee box, which is made of AstroTurf.
bird eye view
a great layout love the 14 hole where you drive halfway up the mountain and walk up to the top of the mountain to hit your shot on a par 3 the only bad thing wrong was some of the greens had bad places on them and was slow and bumpy
Good Course, Good scenery, good value
This is a good course to try when you are in Gatlinburg. You will not be disappointed.
Terrible Greens
If the greens hadn't been in terrible condition this course wouldn't have been too bad. The back nine was very difficult but the scenery was fantastic.

This is a beautiful mountain golf course. Challenging as almost any golf course will be. Cart paths need to be redone, but overall a great course for any golfer.
Very challenging course
Played course two years ago and conditions have deteriorated. In particular, the greens look like they have been attacked by some kind of fungus(?) and are patchy and not in good condition. I know they have been aerated but that is not the problem. We heard there is a different management company than the ones that were in charge two years ago. Present management seems over zealous in using cart path only and that made 5+ hour rounds for our foursome on carts.
Challenging
Fun course to play. It can be challenging if you are not familiar with the course. There are some holes on the back nine that have blind shots on lay ups. Would go back and play again.
Great Course In The Mountains
We have played at Bent Creek several times, but lately I have noticed some big changes. The staff all the way down to the food. The course was getting pretty beat up in spring, but through the summer I have seen a dramatic change in the conditions. Greens were a little rough, but the pro shop guy explained they had a new greens keeper and he is working very hard on getting them back to great shape. When we arrived at the pro shop, we were greeted with a smile and some light jokes from a big guy (No name badge) working in there. VERY FRIENDLY! He said good morning and welcomed us to the golf course. Rang us up, told us where to go (not knowing we played here quite often) to get carts. My husband forgot his PW and (call him big guy) pro shop attendant let him use his personal PW. Very thoughtful. Cart attendant got us loaded and we went on the play 18 holes. Creekside clerk greeted us and we ate a couple of over-priced but wonderful hot dogs. Gnats were the only complaint, but.....HELLO, WE ARE IN THE MOUNTAINS! What do you expect. Several people have complained about Gnats, but think about it......Mtns....Camping....bug spray. Use your common sense people, stop leaving that at home while on vacation!
Greens need work
I'm from West Tn and the greens there are primarily Bermuda and in perfect condition. This course has a very bad layout but for the money I suppose it was worth it. The greens were not cut well, slow, and burnout. Has really good view if you care more about that than play. But as I scratch golfer i would prefer to play somewhere else.
greens
since my last review the greens have improved immensely.the greens fairways and rough looked great. this course is a joy to play this time of year.
condition
nice course love the layout. flat in the front target golf on the back nine. course has a few issues with greens but overall good condition.
Challenging back 9
This course is great! The front 9 are just a simple warm up for the back 9. Had a huge all beef hot dog at the half in the screened porch grill they have. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Left my wedge on a green and Dave McCowan, (management?) called to let me know he had it and would hold it until I could get back. I really appreciate that. Will be there this week to play again. Can't wait!
middle of nowhere
the course was challenging. greens were pretty good. fairways were great. if you have never played their before it would be good to play wih somebody that knows the course.so they can tell you to lay up or go for it. many ditches that go back and forth but don't know the distances to them.i recommend this course great course for the money
Bent Creek Golf Course
Overall the conditions were good on the course except that some of the greens need work, some had bare spots on them, the snacks are very high, $2.99 for a soda (Coke) $4.99 for a hot dog. The back nine requires good placement of the shots or one can get in very bad positions and water hazards.
Great course for the money.
Greens weren't in great shape but were playable. Nice course with lots of water. Definately a great value.
