Sub par for bogey golf
Little to no food options. The course was in horrible condition, dirt tee box’s! The course has so much potential unfortunately it has not been maintained well. From sand traps full of bees, dirt filled fairways and poorly lit bathrooms.
Disappointed
Good course layout and pace of play was good. Back nine was closed and there were no signs indicating that the back nine was closed due to a fallen tree across a bridge. In addition no one told us when we checked in that the back nine was closed
No snack bar was open either. Not a bad course, just disappointed that no information provided about back nine.
Favorite course in the area!!
Bent Creek is our favorite course!! Very nice area and we loveee the ladies in the pro shop, Heather is the best!
Greens heavily sanded and aerated!
I get helping the greens, but they were practically unputtable! Front nine still a fun layout but back nine was gimmicky and odd. Views we’re nice just not anything golf wise to get excited about!
Punched greens
I’ve played many rounds with recently punched greens. These were the worst. Like asphalt with excessive sand on top. I called the pro shop for 30 minutes straight before I booked on GolfNow with hopes of asking the course conditions. No one would answer the phone. The phone was ringing the entire time I was in the pro shop and no one bothered to answer it, which explains why I had so much trouble trying to call in advance and discuss course conditions. Would’ve been nice to be told beforehand that the greens were awful (and maybe a small discount on the green fees?). I understand regular course maintenance (and appreciate quality upkeep), but driving 4 hours round trip, and paying FULL PRICE to putt on trash was really disappointing.
Still a nice place for a great round
The greens are in good shape, with only a couple needing some attention. The fairways need a little love. All off the rough areas have been beautifully trimmed for the preseason. There was much storm debris that was nicely cleared. Kudos to the course crew!!
Brown fairways Greens just airated
It’s late March and fairway grass is still dormant. Front nine is a fairly flat layout. The back nine is mountain golf. Precise shots and some required exact distance necessary to play a few holes. I did get my only birdie on one of the back nine’s par three. We will come back again later in the season. I’m sure the fairways will have greened up. For the price a very nice course to play. The back nine reminded us of Fairfield Glades courses.
Mountain golf
We enjoyed the course very much, quite challenging between the creeks running through the course and the mountain terrain.
Challenging course
The front nine is a good warmup going into the back nine. The back nine is very shot rewarding.
Excellent course with a breathtaking view.
Took my son to this course for our first out of state golf trip and this course was outstanding. The view itself makes the trip worth it. Staff was friendly, carts worked perfectly fine, and the course was without a doubt one of the best I’ve played on. If you find yourself in TN, don’t pass up an opportunity to play the course.
Wow.
This course has so much character, forest surround you and there is fun obstacles on almost every hole. My favorite part a a par 3 that tees off on the side of a mountain down into the valley. Beautiful course.
