Relaxing, scenic and fun course!
This course was fun and challenging. A lot of effort has gone into making players have a description and tips. Bugs are bad, so take bug spray and sunglasses. We liked this course enough that we went back for another round of 27 holes later in the week.
The course is in excellent shape, greens are well maintained. The staff friendly. The screened porch-type grill sits by a stream and is perfect place to get a snack, lunch, or just relax.
Target Golf
Greens were very slow. Gnats were constantly swarming around your head even using bug spray. The back nine especially was target golf. One par four required a 150 yd.
placement off the tee. I cannot recommend playing there.
Good course but do not want to play it again.
The course was in good shape. Some holes were easy and some very difficult. The course has a wide range of shots that a golfer will need to make. The reason I would not want to play again is due to the gnats that were on the course.
My favorite course in this area
I played this course about 10 times over the past 5 years (always on vacation) and it is my favorite course along with River Strand in Kodak. We played this course twice the same day both under 3½ hours and it was in great condition despite the 6 inch rain it had 2 days earlier. The course is not very long but challenging and has everything a golfer loves to see. Reachable Par 5, sometimes narrow fairways, couple crazy holes, doglegs, streams. Super friendly staff, they even let us stay overnight on the Parking Lot with our 26 foot RV, which we honored with 3 rounds of Golf and shopping in the Pro Shop. If you are in the area, you definately have to play this course, its a beauty and you will always remember this course. Love No 10, over two large streams. It's a jewel!
Nice mountain views, back nine are challenging up and downhill
I played this course about 5 times over the past 5 years and it's always nice to come back. The pace of play is usually rather slow as alot of tourist are in this area. The first nine holes are little up and down, not really difficult but the back nine trough valleys and mountains is beautiful. I'm a scratch player so I play the back tees and except Par 5, No 9, all are reachable. The course is in good condition (September 2012) the greens where ok, punched a couple of weeks ago, playable, good, but not great. There are some really nice holes, like No 1 as you stand on a high tee box right off the Club House. No 9 Par 5 as you go uphill to an elevated green. The back nine has plenty of challenging hole including the 300 yard drop Par 3. This is a must play if you are in the area, they have a practice green, a chipping green with bunker but no Driving Range. Overall Rating 4, would be a 5 with faster play and better Greens.
Challenging Course
Scenic surroundings, challenging course, very nice greens. Cart paths could use some attention. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fairways could use some markers to help with distance.
Nice layout, needs some work
No starter or ranger making sure pace of play was maintained, bugs were horrible, even Labor Day weekend
Great course. Challanging but fun on the back nine
This was a great course. The backnine requires excellent placement of shots to score well.
