The signature 7th is a prime example: beautiful, offers a risky opportunity and a safe one as well. Photo submitted by u388669693 on 07/06/2019

Enjoyable course with nice elevation changes.
I enjoyed my first time playing this course. Definitely cost more than my normal courses I play but was a nice treat while visiting San Antonio.
Greens have a lot of undulations to them and some sharp fall offs. Was fun to play a former PGA Tour stop.
Not good marshals
So the round almost took five hours because the group in front of us had no golf etiquette and after telling the marshals two times about it they drove right by them without telling them one thing.
I don’t know if they were members or not. But they should’ve been told something and the marshals neglected to say anything to them twice.
And as far as the greens. They were the fastest I’ve played in probably seven years anywhere.
Always Enjoyable
Greens are in great shape, about the best I've ever seen them at the Resort Course.
Great and challenging course
I am normally a very góod putter and greens reader but i could not make one.. for sime reason i read right to left and everything was left to righ. Could not believe it and made that mistake time after time. Trust it will break right.
Overall great ggolf course and i will definetly play it again.
One thing to improve the grass cutter guys were always working without the adequate behaivor. A detail but i hit one of the in the middle of the fairway that might cost me at least 20 yards and in other ocassion the just move while i was trying to chip in. I dont think they needed to do this while the course was not that crowded
Resort course was great!
Course was in great shape with lush fairways, well kept sand bunkers (sadly I know first hand, lol) and we’ll kept greens. Tee boxes were ok as well.
Beautiful view and well maintenance
This is the first time we played here. Both driven range and resort course are very well maintenance. It is not only people friendly, also wildlife friendly, we saw three deers at the hole 17. I will definitely will come back to play here.
Probably the best roller coaster in the area
I've played the Resort course at La Cantera many times, all the way back to my high school days when it was still the host of the Texas Open. It will always have that cool factor for me.
But all these years later I still find it's a super enjoyable golf course, full of (literal) ups and downs and some really memorable shots.
You don't get much more memorable than the short par 4 where the tee box gives you a vista of many of the rides at Fiesta Texas. Why ride a roller coaster that lasts 60 seconds, when you can play the Resort course?
The whole experience at La Cantera is fantastic and both courses are worthy of your time in San Antonio.
Awesome Course
Everything about this course is excellent, ( a bit pricey) but overall a great experience, we would play here every weekend if it was a little less expensive. Fairways are in great shape, green on hole #7 is in bad shape, but all the rest are in perfect condition, very fast but role true.
Great track- former Valero Texas Open venue
Drove from Austin to play this course and we were not disappointed. Great layout. Generous fairways. Great condition. Staff was great. We were a twosome and played with some great guys. Many signatures holes on this track. I highly recommend
The course is in great shape and the staff where awesome. The course plays slow.
