About Stratton Mountain Resort
Although Stratton Mountain is a ski hub of 99 trails from the summit of southern Vermont's highest peak, summer brings the fun, too. A new bike mountain bike park has joined a lineup of summer activities including golf on a 27-hole championship course, the Cliff Drysdale Tennis program on New England’s only authentic red clay courts, hiking sections of the Long and Appalachian Trails, kayak tours, Kids Adventure Kamp and a series of events and live music. The Geoffrey Cornish-designed golf course hosted six LPGA Tour events.Facts

Fun course
Had a fun round. Nice course with beautiful views. Challenging Vermont style golf. Hilly with lots of elevation changes. Large greens. Well maintained. Beautiful, quiet country setting. Worth playing if you are in the area.
One of the best in the NE
I play more than a 100 rounds a year and approximately half are at different courses. This is the best course I have played in a long time. The course was in immaculate condition, the greens were perfect and the views are spectacular. We played all 3 nines and they were all outstanding.
Great value
The three 9s offer different challenges. The Lake 9 is flatter and easier, the Forest is harder, with more blind shots and the Mountain is as its name suggests! Course condition is very good for a public course. The greens are generally difficult with lots of breaks and very few straight/flat putts. A slight negative is that if you drop your clubs at the drop off, nobody takes them to the cart area- you have to carry them yourself. The bag guy does show up at the end of the round to wipe off the clubs and take them to the bag drop for you - and for a tip of course!. Overall, very good value provided you book on Golf Now as the regular green fees mid-week are $75.00
Beautiful day at stratton
Beautiful day at Stratton the course is in great shape. The greens are awesome and all had a great round.
Wet day, great course, super staff
Friendly staff who let us know expect some rain. Front nine (Forest) had showers and heavy rain but we continued. After a quick hot dog we played the Lake course. windy and cool but no one on the course. If it wasn't so interesting and in such great shape we would have quit after 9. However, we finished and were grateful we stuck it out. Challenging without the weather, but in great shape and worth every cent. Don't forget, super staff in shop and on course.
Great Variety of Holes
Course was in very good condition for this early in the season. No two holes alike -- challenging, but fair. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only negative comment is very poor condition of cart paths due to frost heaves.
Golf at Stratton
Surprisingly good with all the rain we’ve had. Enjoyed it immensely. .
Course was not open!
I booked my tee time through GN for 18 holes with a cart at Stratton Mountain. As I came down the mountain I could see that the greens were covered with tarps and the parking lot was empty. On a chalkboard outside the clubhouse was written “ Closed for the season, see you next Spring “ or something to that verbiage. So I really can’t rate it .... cause they have been closed since last fall. So no one to call for a rain check or reimbursement . In hindsight maybe I should have called before taking the long, but beautiful drive through the Green Mountains!
Stratton golf
The pace of play was excellent for a weekend round. The course was in good condition and the weather was perfect.
Alawys a fantastic round
We go to Stratton every fall and always have a fantastic time. Course is always in amazing shape and with three nines you can y 27 and have a blast. Conditions are awesome, the staff is awesome and super friendly and accommodating. The Grill is also fantastic. Stay right at the mountain and the courses are 5 minutes away. Layouts are great, lots of diversity, long holes, short holes elevation changes just a wild ride.
challenging for most golfers
This course is a bit tight and has a lot of uneven lies and numerous blind shots. It is in very good condition considering the weather they have had this summer. It isn't particularly long, but the tight fairways and lengths which require course management to avoid shots running off the fairways both to the side and at water crossings, and uphill shots into reasonably well guarded greens present plenty of challenges to all but the best of golfers. It is a darn good course - and a very good value. We played yesterday in the drizzle and rain, and had a lot of challenge from wet fairways, but today was sunny (although still wet) and that made the round much more enjoyable.
Rain or shine
Started out in fog and drizzle and progressed to full rain. Kept slogging - Cart paths only. Course had recently been aerated, but was otherwise in good shape It takes a certain mentality to play in these conditions - but the upside was emptiness of the course
Disappointed
First 9 was great, but the back 9's aerated greens made the round rather disappointing. Would have liked to know that some greens were punched in advance of making the booking.
Course just ok
Often wet with thin, thin fairways. Cart paths are horrible and jarring to ride on. Craters and speed bumps are kind description thereof. Course lives only on long ago reputation and old, old reviews.
Golf
Fabulous course, teamed up with three great people.
