Joining a great three some at Kiln
I have not been to Kiln Creek in quite awhile, but I have to say that since new management the place was rewarding again. I got hot deal for 11:40 met up with three others. The pace was little slow with the group in front of us. Great day of golf at a great price.
Good with one big roblem
When I arrived they told me that the front nine was shutdown due to a gas leak. Because it was not weather related I had no choice but to stay and golf else I'd waste my GolfNow paid round. My only choice was to play back nine twice which was not ideal. Half way thru the round a marshall came with survey, asked me to fill it out and return to him for some free passes due to my inconvenience. When I returned the survey another person was unsure of any free passes. Still have received no notification or fulfillment of promise.
Very poor bunkers
Not sure how old this course is but it is very apparent that it has not been kept up very well. We just played on the 50 year old Golden Horseshoe and Kiln Creek pales in comparison. Your bunkers are terrible.
No ranger/starter
Good golf outing for not having played Kiln Cree k since Ileft York Co. in 08.
Only complant is the lack of guidance the pro shop gave us regarding use of the range. An irate member(I assume ) ordered us to stop using the range (as it was reserved) .Since we were visitors I figured it best to comply, but we don't treat non-members to our club like these red necks did.
I'm sorry I chose your course to show my son in law a pleasant place to play in the US,since he resides in Canada.
Getting better....
Nice course. Can see where the new ownership is making incremental differences for the good. Quality of customer service is getting better. Quality of course is improving .... Finally saw a difference in the bunkers...they actually manicured a few--nice to see. And new pin flags--finally!! Look forward to more improvements in the near future.
Coming into shape
Rough winter but the course is looking and feeling much better. Traps still have work to do, but greens and fairways are nice.
Nice Course
Nice Course! The fairways are a little rough because of the bad winter, but the staff and grounds crew have done an excellent job with what they have to work with - I have no doubt it will be in top shape very soon! The Staff we met were super friendly and pleasant to chat with. Amazing amount of wildlife seen...
early spring conditions
Back nine in best shape.
Traps poor doe to heavy rains.
Will be back for summer play.
Disappointed
The course is well designed. The greens were in good shape but not consistant.
The big problem was the rest of the course was in poor condition. The traps had little or no sand, not raked or had any attention in a while. The fairways were full or bald spots or no grass. What should have been a goood day on the course was a disappointment.
Go play!
There are not many better options for a "hot deal".
Kiln Creek
Fun course, nice split between more difficult and less difficult holes. Quite a few slopes along the sides of the fairways so you can get in trouble quite easily if you miss the fairways.
Biggest concern/criticism - I think the pace of play at this course could slow to a crawl on busy days.
NICE DAY IN THE SUN
CONSIDERING I PLAYED AFTER HAVING A STROKE, I DID PRETTY WELL. SHOT A 87 FROM THE WHITES, SO I WAS FEELING PRETTY GOOD. NOT AS GOOD AS I USED TOO, BUT CONSIDERING WHAT I HAVE BEEN THRU, I WILL TAKE IT, DAY TO DAY. I WILL PLAY THE COURSE AGAIN FOR SURE.
THANKS AGAIN, JOHNNIE
good deal from golfnow
I played Kiln Creek after 2 days of rain. the course drained very well and didn't effect play. the greens
was very fast even though they were being treated. The staff was very friendly and supportive.
Freindly Staff
The staff was excellent. I was able to just walk up and give my time and they immediately let me on the course, even though I was 20 minutes early.
Good greens
Course has a nice variety of holes and the greens putted really nice. Fairways were very wet but that's understandable as it's been a wet winter.
Not bad for the price
The course for this time of the year was in good shape. There are some interesting holes and make for a good time. Will love to play in better warmer weather. Will definitely play again.
Greens were in excellent shape for this time of year
Course was a little wet, and the fairways are dormant. Need to blow leaves a little more during this time of year, please! Greens were in good shape, as usual for this course. Nice day ,and a good deal for the price!
Risk Reward Course!
Course has great features, fairways are in their dormant
state, putting surfaces are super great.
Good course for weekend hackers.
For people that are not long hitters this is good place to play. I was on the green in regulation most of the time. Not to difficult for average players.
Challenges all levels
Greens are in excellent shape,, course will challenge all levels of golfers. Many tee decks to choose from.
