Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
About Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Located a short ferry ride from Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula, the Clearwater Casino Resort, owned by the Suquamish Tribe, is more than just a waterfront casino. It has the amenities for a wedding, work conference, golf getaway or a relaxing vacation. The 183-room resort features a spa, six restaurants, four bars, an event lawn, indoor zero-entry pool, beach access and the excitement of casino nightlife that offers table games, slots, keno and much more. The tribe purchased the White Horse Golf Course, located 11 miles away in Kingston, in 2010 and made immediate improvements. A new clubhouse was added and local architect John Harbottle brought in to make the course more playable.Facts

Manicured fairways Photo submitted by Spencer3502694 on 06/17/2013
narrow fairways
Beautiful course. Bunkers enough to keep you on your game. Consistent greens. Restaurant could provide better/quicker service..
Great Course Slow Pace
The course was in great shape except for the greens which were a bit slow. Only real complaint was pace. The group in front of us was very slow. We only saw a marshal once and he was out looking for a lost cell phone. He did not seem interested in helping us. Never saw marshal again. Round took 5 hours and 15 minutes.
Wow...
Course was in top notch condition... greens were a bit slow but rolled true and in great condition... very impressive. Great layout, clubhouse was nice... even the food cart was top notch. I will definitely be going back.
Worth the trip!
Took ferry across Puget Sound which was a great experience for someone not from the area. Ferry or driving this course is worth the trip. Friendly staff, great driving rance and practice areas. Challenging course but good selection of tee boxes for all handicaps. Fantastic scenery. A few narrow holes requiring targeted placement of drives. Biggest complaint was a few unforgiving greens with trouble around that made it difficult to stick. Many times in bunkers or facing blind chips and pitches uphill or over moguls. Definitely a short game test but overall a great time.
travel Edmonds - Kingston
The course was in great condition and very challenge most of the holes.
Only problem I concern is that traveling by ferry with high rate($50) for round trip was not very efficient and it took 3 hours to get back to Edmonds from Kingston due to a lot of cars lining up at the ferry terminal(Sunday afternoon).
Hidden Pacific Northwest Gem
Can't say enough about how great this course was. Challenging but playable by the high handicappers. Lots of interesting tees shots, elevation changes, and the scenery is magnificent. Worth the drive from Seattle
A jewel of the Kitsap
The course was in great shape. The greens were true. The pace was brisk. The tribe has done a wonderful job. And, as always, White Horse is a real challenge. I'll be back!
Awesome course!!!!
This course challenges your skills to the max. You need to know the distance to bunkers and boundaries
and play accordingly.
Very neat course!!!
Fine course
Had many golfers recommend this course to me, finally had the chance to play it...and it delivered. Modern course design with great variety of holes, elevation changes, tee options, and challenging yet playable greens. Pristine fairways. Greens, though recently punched, rolled well. The one knock against this course is the quality of the sand in the (plentiful) bunkers, but overall an exceptional value.
Challenging Course
Great course with a very challenging and undulating lay out. Get there early or stay late and enjoy the clubhouse! Great food and service!
Plays well in the Spring
With all the rain that falls on the Pacific Northwest, we were impressed with the excellent drainage and nicely mowed course! No muddy shoes and the ball really rolled!
Best course in kitsap county
I am a 19 hip and at first was a little intimidated. This course was in summer condition in March. It is by far the best course I have played in kitsap county. I have played them all except the Olympic at gold mtn
I'd Heard This Was A Nice Course, But...
...It was amazing! Downright beautiful, firm and fast, with most of the holes protected by the forest.
The course was in excellent condition, with no marshy spots anywhere. Greens were similar to my home course, Chambers Bay; if you put too much pace on your chips, you'd find yourself playing from bunker to bunker.
Only downside was the glacial pace of play on the back nine. A couple of foursomes evidently took a leisurely lunch break, then merged on to the 10th in front of our twosome. My buddy and I completed the front nine in about 90 minutes, walking, but the back nine took over three and a half hours. The lone marshal didn't seem at all motivated to speed anyone up. Kind of sucked the enjoyment out of my first experience at White Horse, but I definitely plan to play there again...mid-week!
fairways
The course was dry a day after heavy rain. The fairways cut short, hold the ball up. Enjoyed summer roll before spring started. I'll be back soon.
Kingston's finest!
White horse has changed in the past few year's, from one of the NW more difficult courses to a more friendly local's course. I had a great time with a friend, shot very well on the front, not so much on the back, that's on me, worth the trip ! take a friend & a cart! Not a walking course , 3 thumb's up !
Great!!!
I loved the course!!! For it being January it was in great condition
very good course
The course was in very good condition for this time of year.
Great Winter Conditions
Me and a couple buddies played White Horse right before Christmas. We'd had a lot of wet weather but the course played great. Some areas were soggy but nothing that really effected play. One of the best courses I've played and an amazing value. Highly recommend.
November
Played the course the day after two days of rain. Course only had a couple of wet spots and it was "cart path only", but was better than you would expect after that much rain.
Beautiful and Challenging Course
The course was great. Layout was challenging but playable. The 18th hole is a terrific finishing hole. The greens were in very good condition. This course is worth the drive to play. However, the course does retain a lot of water after a rain. The club house is nice and the food in the onsite restaurant was very good. Good place to relax with friends after a round of golf.
