Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
About Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Located a short ferry ride from Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula, the Clearwater Casino Resort, owned by the Suquamish Tribe, is more than just a waterfront casino. It has the amenities for a wedding, work conference, golf getaway or a relaxing vacation. The 183-room resort features a spa, six restaurants, four bars, an event lawn, indoor zero-entry pool, beach access and the excitement of casino nightlife that offers table games, slots, keno and much more. The tribe purchased the White Horse Golf Course, located 11 miles away in Kingston, in 2010 and made immediate improvements. A new clubhouse was added and local architect John Harbottle brought in to make the course more playable.Facts

Friday the 13th
White Horse Golf Club had never looked better. All aspects is in superior shape including bunkers tee boxes and greens despite the lack of rain. Staff was very professional and friendly. Best conditioned course I've played all year.
Pace of Play
Took almost 3 hours to play the first 9 holes due to a jam of a senior 4-some and senior 2-some that were not picking up their balls after 8 strokes and not playing up to speed (waiting on the group ahead to be completely off the hole when they had ZERO chance of hitting into them). Deflated momentum and frustrated the 3 groups behind them as we all had plenty of time to talk to one another. Had to pair up with the 2-some behind me to pick up some speed for those stacking up between holes. . It would be nice to see a Marshal assist in advising slower groups to let faster groups play through or mentioning some golf etiquette reminders. Other than that, great day for golf at White Horse once again.
Enjoyable round
Beautiful course which is in excellent conditions even after the recent drought. Only complaint is the sand traps are pretty rocky and shallow. Overall a great round at a good value. Definitely will be back!
Bring lots of balls unless you hit it pretty straight.
The course is lined with trees and thick underbrush. Don't bother to look for your ball if you hit it out there. Lots of unlevel lies. Better hit the green and hope your ball stops. Greens are in great shape, but bunkers all around the green and they are like the top of a table. If the ball goes off you'll be chipping from down below. Bunkers sand was very shallow and hard. Looked like sand from Puget Sound beaches. And lastly, the inability to find a ball in the woods led to slow play. People ahead spending too much time trying to find a ball in thick underbrush.
Sprinkles in June
Always in great condition it’s a pleasure to play. One draw back living on the other side of the water having to take the ferry there and back makes it an all day event.
Hidden Gem
I grew up belonging to a country club and I've played courses all across the US in tournaments, this course ranked right up there with the best.
Great layout, tough pin placements, and tight greens that rolled true. The course was in excellent condition and the club house, staff, and food were all excellent as well.
Great Conditions, Little Mundane
super well kept; superb conditions! But the holes seem to blend together, especially on the back...
This course is very challenging
This course is very challenging. Always one more club then normal.
