About Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort
Located a short ferry ride from Seattle on the Kitsap Peninsula, the Clearwater Casino Resort, owned by the Suquamish Tribe, is more than just a waterfront casino. It has the amenities for a wedding, work conference, golf getaway or a relaxing vacation. The 183-room resort features a spa, six restaurants, four bars, an event lawn, indoor zero-entry pool, beach access and the excitement of casino nightlife that offers table games, slots, keno and much more. The tribe purchased the White Horse Golf Course, located 11 miles away in Kingston, in 2010 and made immediate improvements. A new clubhouse was added and local architect John Harbottle brought in to make the course more playable.Facts

Beautiful Course / Slow Play
White Horse is a beautiful course and was in great condition, but very slow play has become the norm there.
Fun Day With Old Friend
The course is in excellent condition! Wish my game was in the same condition, but it was a fun and memorable day on the course with an old friend!
Wonderful golf course in a peaceful setting
Thoroughly enjoyed my round. Fairways and greens were immaculate. My only complaint was the pace of play. Just over two hours for the front but three hours for the back.
Great condition
Been in great shape all year. Caught a slow round though. A few twosomes wouldn't pair up.
Nice course
This is a very nice course. Very well maintained.
The terrain was rather undulating in the fairways as well as the greens. Lots of bunkers on some holes.
Greens were smooth and fast but not crazy fast.
Nice course - Tough for high handicappers
As a rusty 20+ handicap player, perhaps this wasn't the best course to choose, but I sure had fun anyway. I drove up early on a Sunday morning without a reservation. No problems getting on and I was the first one off. Due to the nature of this wooded links layout, I didn't see a soul the rest of the day except going from the 9th green to 10th tee. The greens were firm, true, and fast - might as well be putting on a pool table. They did hold a well shot iron, at least the one or two I hit all day. Long puts usually meant big benders in route to the hole. Rolling hills and elevation changes made hitting shots an adventure. If you stayed in the fairways, you were treated with hitting off a luscious carpet of short cut green grass. Me? I spent considerable time hacking out of the tall grass or moderately shaggy rough area. Most tees had long grassy areas right in front, so make sure you get the tee shot elevated. Water doesn't come in too play very often but some strategically placed marsh areas provided plenty of problems. All in all a high quality course and I recommend it highly. Please take bug spray just in case.
Very Slow Play
We booked and payed plenty to play. Play was extremely slow. We were paired up with a couple of guys that couldn't play and I think got slightly loaded. So we didn't play fast. When I told the guy at the desk that it took 5 hours and 20 minutes. He said ya it had been slow all day. Didn't offer anything for our inconvenience. I wont be going back anytime soon
Course play was extremely slow
We played in 5 hours and 20 minutes, Told the staff and they said it was slow all day. Followed a tournament. Offered nothing to make me want to come back. On the 18th par 4 there were actually 4 foursomes on the hole alone.
White Horse
Was not told that junior rates don't start until after noon and that when paying for a cart you pay for one seat which means you have to pay for two seats if you are playing with someone else which one is usually doing. So the price jumped after I booked. Never good when decisions are already made and unexpected costs occur. Frustrating.
Beautiful and challenging course!!!
Love this course!! It's so challenging and fun! And it's super quiet as the course is in the middle of nowhere! Perfect course to get away from the world and enjoy a round with the boys. Recommend highly :)
Take extra balls
The entire course is cut out of dense forest. When you walk down a fairway, you can hear your voice echo off the trees like you are in a closed room of Fir. The primary complaint from intermediate golfers is the consequence of slight misses. If you fly off the side of the green or have a bit too much spin off your driver, you'll lose that ball.
fun course.
Had a great time, only con was the long grass just off the fairways in some spots.
Disappointing changes
I used to love this golf course...greens were fast and accepting, before 2012-13, now, not so much. Fairways are always perfect, greens are now hard, and slow. With as much undulation as these greens have, I'd think they might soften them up a bit. Bunkers could be better too. Management might want to consider price changes considering subpar conditions.
Worst on-course experience I have had
I played Sunday, June 25, 2017 with a 7:12am tee time. I was told my two-some was the second group but I never saw anyone ahead of us.
Probably finished around 10:30. This was my first round at White Horse and will likely be my last. Here's why:
The round was completely ruined by one of the greenskeepers. Starting on the 11th fairway and continuing through the 16th green, 6 of our 18 holes were completely interrupted. As we hit approach shots from the 11th fairway a greenskeeper turned on sprinklers for the 11th green. We then had to wait for the sprinklers to shut off to complete the hole. We initially assumed he didn't see us but he continued even after he new we were there. This pattern continued in each fairway until the par 5-14th. The same employee was standing on the green spraying it down with a hose. We whistled to get his attention as we stood in the fairway wanting to hit our approach shots. He stopped watering after about 30 more seconds, and I hit my approach toward the front pin leaving it about 5 paces short of the green in the fairway. As we drove to the green the guy cuts a new pin in the back left corner of the green and fills the prior front pin placement. As he was doing this we complained to him, and said this should have been done earlier in the morning and his reply was "it is early". This was around 9:30am when sunrise was at 5:18am. I woke up at 4:30am and drove almost 2 hours to play this course.
The watering fiasco continued until the 16th green when we finally got ahead of him. As we walked off the 16th green he was spraying with a hose a few steps behind us. It honestly felt like we were being chased off of the green.
My playing partner and I each have over 20 years of golf experience at courses all over the country ranging from cheap municipal courses to some of the more famous public courses. I have no idea how many rounds I have played in my life, and until today I had never even seen a hole cut for a new pin. The idea that someone would do it after a group has hit approach shots is beyond absurd.
I complained in the pro shop after the round. They seemed a bit embarrassed but basically just said sorry.
I won't make this drive again.
Great Twilight
Picked tee time late Sunday afternoon to offset ferry traffic back to Seattle. Worked out great, getting one of the first twilight times was awesome. No back ups, and the cousre seemed to ourselves. Excellent conditions in every category. Very challenging but rewarding also if good shots are executed. Highly recommend.
Slow Play
No marshall's on course. Five twosome on one hole. Disappointed in course conditions. It used to be a solid 8 out of 10 but is now only a 4.
