Lakeview Golf Resort

It wasn't the best I've played. I was hoping for something great since I drove two hours. The pace of play was excellent. I only had a few people in front of me, and they let me play through. I didn't get held up until then for the last four holes. The fairways were in rough shape! 50/50 mix between grass and weeds. The greens were bumpy and super slow. This could be a great course if the fairways and greens were in better shape. I have played better courses for significantly cheaper. Save your money and play somewhere else.

I’ve been playing this course for a few years due to its location. Its condition has improved greatly. The greens and tee boxes are in great shape. I would say the only it needs is more sand in the bunkers. I like the new red tee boxes and some holes. It gives senior ladies a great start.

They punched the greens 3 weeks prior to this round and the greens were still horrible. They need to take some time and energy to clean them up. The holes from the aeration caused every putt to do whatever it wanted. Not a true roll on the entire course which makes for a super frustrating round. I will be playing elsewhere

The greens are much improved from where they were last year and a couple of years ago. The fairways are in decent shape. I don't know what the deal is with the insanely long rough; can't find enough workers to mow? It's difficult to advance the ball from the rough in many cases, and that's if you can find your ball. Spending a ton of time looking for your ball that missed the fairway by two yards is a recipe for painfully slow play, too. I never played another course with rough so long and lacking in maintenance.

I play this course often and it's great to see the work going on to improve it. Bunkers are being dug out and re-sanded, greens are a little bumpy but much greener than before, fairways are improving as well. Layout is challenging with hills and some narrow fairways but the back nine opens up. Fun course, excited to see continued improvement.

They opened a month and a half later than everyone else in town. Tee boxes have had no work over the winter, full of divots and huge patches missing. Greens are in okay shape. Fairways were being cut for what seemed like the first time in a month on opening day. Rough probably hadn’t been cut since last season, over ankle high so any ball not in the fairway was basically lost when you don’t have 10 minutes to search. Prices are raised I’m assuming from the “most improved course” designation but no quality improvements to match it so now it’s just like Lakeview, relatively expensive for below average course maintenance.

Beautiful location along the River, plenty of elevated tee boxes. Some tee and greens could use some work, but it is November so I fully understand. For only visiting for a couple days, it was a great getaway for the cost.

I have played old Lakeview many times, and have always been pleased with the course. This week, though the greens were in bad shape, the sand traps were full of mud and water and rocks, and I lost many balls under leaves in the fairway. My partner, and I were very disappointed in the conditions and hope that the new owners will address their problems with the golf course.

They are bringing it back to first class level.

I've played here a few times now, and each time the conditions have improved drastically. Management is doing a great job taking better care of the course, and it's great to see!

This course's greatest strengths are the layout and the price. The property is definitely very hilly, but the design is excellent in spite of that. All the par 3's especially are in great spots. Also, the price to play here is very affordable compared to some other courses north in Pennsylvania.

Greens have improved as well! The first time I played, they were slow and inconsistent, but the last time I played, they were faster and much more consistent.

Every staff member I have encountered has been friendly and helpful as well. I can tell they are trying to maintain a positive culture about the place.

The only bigger update this course could use is some amenity changes. While the carts are awesome, the clubhouse is small and the parking lot and cart paths could use some upkeep. But those problems are not deal-breakers to me, since the most important part of a course are the actual playing conditions, which are much better than before.

I look forward to playing here again more often!

With this new management and the groundskeeping that they have, I will play here anytime I have the chance keeping everything cut and the greens look phenomenal but only complaints which can’t be fixed is the 18th hole in the ninth hole lol but overall friendly staff still hope they can update the clubhouse some and have more items and food choices to choose from but overall PERFECT
