Horrendous Shape
I played this course three years ago and it was in comparable shape to its sister course, Lakeview, which is immaculate. Today, it was a cow pasture. “Fairways” looked like they hadn’t been cut in at least a week and were extensively damaged, my partner and I had to call anything under 8 feet a gimme on the unplayable greens, and the rough was higher than it would be at the US Open. On top of the terrible conditions, a groundskeeper cut a new hole into #9 green during our approach in the middle of the afternoon. The round wasn’t worth $10 let alone $23. I will not be back and recommend everyone else stay away as well.
Goodish
Nice course layout. Fun to play. Rough on some tees and greens. But it is 2020. And they just aerated the greens. So I'm not going to beat them up to hard. It was a fun day. And the carts dont suck.
Bad Greens & No Drink Service
This is a very pretty and challenging course but the greens and sand traps are in rough shape. We played 18 holes on a holiday weekend Saturday and never once saw a beverage cart. It would have very much enhanced the experience to have been offered on-course service. Decent value for the money but I’ll go somewhere a little more accommodating next time.
Hello and thank you for your 5-star rating, scrow899! We're delighted you enjoyed your round. Please book another round with us soon, and thanks for choosing Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa - Lakeview!
Good bang for the buck
Tee boxes need some TLC, fairways were pretty good. Greens had just been aerated, which I knew going in. Layout is good and for $25 a good value.
Thank you for the 4 stars! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Not aerated........glad I called before driving 60 miles
With lots of rain in the forecast, I called a few days in advance to see if the course might be closed. The helpful guy in the pro shop told me we wouldn't be playing anyway as they were closing the course for fall aeration. When I asked if he had any suggestions about how to handle my situation having already paid Golf Now he suggested I call their customer service. I did and was treated fairly by the rep. who "refunded" my previous expenses with "promos". Hope to get out to the course another time.
Not a bad day.
Staff was pretty much just there to take your money. Not overly helpful but not rude or anything either. Had to find my own way around a new place to me. But I managed. Its not rocket science. The course was wet and haf some bare spots. But it was good in the important spots. We do need rain. So the selective watering is understandable. Pace of play was great. But it wasnt a busy day due to incliment weather. Course was narrow in places but not frustratingly difficult. I would say. Yes, worth the money. But understand the year we are in.
We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa - Lakeview.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Mountain View Course
Displeased with the course. This used to be a beautiful course when I started playing it years ago. It is awful now. Fairways and tee boxes in bad shape. Greens are average with very limited care. Too many divots where nobody repairs. No course management no Marshall’s Clubhouse is very limited This place used to rival its sister course (Lakeview) but now is just another course with limited care to it. I will not recommend this course anymore even though it $25 . Also, scheduled theu golf now and when I showed up at the course I had to pay because my booking did not go thru. Very disappointed and will not go back
Very disappointed
We played this course on 8/10/2020. It was completely dried out and the greens were cracked open. The entire course was in poor condition- tee boxes were exremely patchy. Save your money and go to another course.
Needs a lot of work
The staff was kind and helpful when we arrived. We set out for a round of golf early in the morning. The fairways were needing grass. The cart paths need a lot of work. Most of the greens had large bad stops on them. The tee boxes were lacking grass most of the time. By the time we got to 18 we had had enough golf at this course. The course was at one time a beautiful place to play but not now.
Ugh....don’t wast your money
The course is in absolute horrible shape. The tee boxes are patchy, fairways are ok, grass in the rough is nonexistent so you’re hitting off of hard pan, there’s no sand in the bunkers, and the greens look like a patchwork quilt with spots of elephant skin in between your ball and the hole. Take your $50 and play somewhere else.
I’ve played here many times
The weather hasn’t been ideal of late, so I understand the difficulty in maintaining the fairways and greens. Some areas were burnt and others were pretty shaggy, but that’s totally understandable. My only real complaint was that whoever placed the flags needs to pay attention to the colors. If red means front, don’t put it in the back or a good shot quickly becomes very disappointing.
While I love this course and its layout, the course was not in the condition I expect from a resort course. The green were in poor shape and the sand traps have less sand than my car mats when I come home from vacation. I sincerely hope that this course returns to its normal standards next year.
You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience with us. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
