Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
About Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a sprawling 1,300-acre, AAA Four Diamond property, home to 355 rooms and 29 new villas. It's a four-season destination with the Mountain Top ski and snowboard facility and the 225-room Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, an indoor-outdoor waterpark. Sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago, Grand Geneva invites city slickers to enjoy the laid-back lake life for a while. It started out as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club, part of Hugh Hefner’s empire. That chapter closed in 1981. Eventually, the property rebranded as a luxury golf resort in 1994 with fine dining and conference facilities for corporate clients. The Highlands and The Brute roll over hills and water hazards, creating distinct theaters for challenging and memorable golf. The WELL Spa + Salon, located in a separate fitness building, offers more than 65 treatments and services.Facts

Great Resort Course
This is a must play course if you’re in the LG area for a weekend. Awesome property with 2 - 18 hole courses available to play. I’m a sucker for an awesome golf cart to enhance the round. Touchscreen with yardages and can order food/drink from your cart and they will deliver to you on the course. They also had cart girls driving around the entire time, so we didn’t go hungry or thirsty all day. They also have the club cleaner/ball cleaner attached to the cart as well as a built in cooler for your food/drinks if needed.
The course itself was an awesome setup. If you play the tips, you have some lengthy par 5’s to deal with. The elevation changes throughout the round made for some interesting blind shots. But thanks to the cart having the touchscreen, you knew your line for the blind shot if you’ve never played the course before. I also liked that it would alert us in the cart of the group ahead of us being somewhere blind so we wouldn’t accidentally hit into them. This course will test every aspect of your game. Big bunkers, but manageable to get out of. Uneven lies, but a well maintained course so it’s fair. The rough is forgiving enough and all of the greens are sloped back to front making approach shots very fun for golfers that can control their wedges/irons from the fairway. Overall very satisfied with my round I played here. I just wish the pace was a little quicker, but that’s to be expected at a resort course. Hit’em straight!
Great course!! Pace could be improved.
Course was in great shape! Can’t say anything negative about it, other than we sat for about 5 minutes on every tee waiting to hit. One hole we were notified that we were 15 minutes behind pace. We didn’t hit our tee shots on that hole until we were notified about being 28 minutes behind pace. Needs improvement.
First time here - hope it won't be the last!
Our first trip to Lake Geneva and we played several nice courses but this one was top notch. Very friendly staff seems truly engaged in making people feel welcome. Course was in great condition. Fairways appear to be wide open but the fairway cut is narrow so good shots are required to score well. The ruff is deep!
I'm not a great golfer but my wife and I enjoyed our round. Beautiful day, beautiful course and we saw almost no one else the entire time. Pace of play was quick. Played our round in under 3 1/2 hours.
The Brute
For April in Wisconsin the course was in great shape. Greens a highlight. One of the great courses in Wisconsin. Staff always top notch.

Great sunny day, with 20 mph winds. Wet conditions and cart path only as they had lots of rain. Course in good early season shape. Greens have not grown out of airiification so a little bumpy still. Great Day.
Great Early Season Conditions
Great early season round at Grand Geneva - Highlands. Course is in solid shape with greens running as true as you will find for April in Wisconsin.
