Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
About Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a sprawling 1,300-acre, AAA Four Diamond property, home to 355 rooms and 29 new villas. It's a four-season destination with the Mountain Top ski and snowboard facility and the 225-room Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, an indoor-outdoor waterpark. Sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago, Grand Geneva invites city slickers to enjoy the laid-back lake life for a while. It started out as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club, part of Hugh Hefner’s empire. That chapter closed in 1981. Eventually, the property rebranded as a luxury golf resort in 1994 with fine dining and conference facilities for corporate clients. The Highlands and The Brute roll over hills and water hazards, creating distinct theaters for challenging and memorable golf. The WELL Spa + Salon, located in a separate fitness building, offers more than 65 treatments and services.Facts

Highlands
I didn’t like it when it was the Briar Patch. Now years later and after lots of renovation I love this course. Overall a great facility.
Teeoff and Golfnow are slacking...
The Brute is a great course, one of the best in SE Wisconsin. But I miss the days when Golfnow used to give you warnings about aeration or cart path only. There's nothing worse than showing up to a great course and being disappointed by the current conditions. Do better Teeoff.
Slippage
Course was not in very good shape. Greens were long, shaggy ,slow and bumpy. Tee boxes were in rough condition. Bunkers were shallow in terms of sand depth. Beautiful layout and views, challenging tee shots, fairway shots and rough shots, but conditions were a disappointment compared with expectations. Course has slipped down a notch compared with past and compared with other Lake Geneva area courses. ....slippage
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Brute at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Fore Play
A week after aeration so the greens were shaggy. Great course otherwise.
Excellent course!
Played this on the way back from the Ryder Cup so now doubt, our trip was nearly perfect in every sense.
Really fun course and the layout is great. Makes you feel like you got away from things but then again it's Lake Geneva.
We were the first ones out and the starter let us go before the other scheduled twosome arrived as we were early and I really appreciated that flexibility. I didn't want the round to end.
We are contemplating a weekend trip to play there it was so nice. We got a great deal on GolfNow so the value I gave this may be a bit skewed.
Hard but fair
Hard course. Lots of uneven lies. All the putts in front of the pins are up hill. SLow round ( 4 hrs 45 minutes on a Monday) but the ranger did try and move the slow group. Bring your A game
Large greens
Very good course. Have not played it in about 5 years. Still in great shape. Little brother to the Brute, but still fun to play.
Thank you for reviewing us. We see you rated the course 3-stars and are interested in learning what we can do to improve before your next round. Feel free to comment on this review or reach out to the team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Brute at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, and we hope to see you again soon.
