Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
About Grand Geneva Resort & Spa
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is a sprawling 1,300-acre, AAA Four Diamond property, home to 355 rooms and 29 new villas. It's a four-season destination with the Mountain Top ski and snowboard facility and the 225-room Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, an indoor-outdoor waterpark. Sandwiched between Milwaukee and Chicago, Grand Geneva invites city slickers to enjoy the laid-back lake life for a while. It started out as the Lake Geneva Playboy Club, part of Hugh Hefner’s empire. That chapter closed in 1981. Eventually, the property rebranded as a luxury golf resort in 1994 with fine dining and conference facilities for corporate clients. The Highlands and The Brute roll over hills and water hazards, creating distinct theaters for challenging and memorable golf. The WELL Spa + Salon, located in a separate fitness building, offers more than 65 treatments and services.Facts

Painfully slow pace of play
Beautiful course, tough but fair. Painfully, ridiculously slow pace of play. That ruined the day and is the reason I rated the course as 3 stars.
First Time
It’s a fun course to play and the layout of the course was great. The only drawback for me was the greens were aerated and top dressed with sand, so we never got to see the greens in top condition.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
1st time playing here
Awesome course well taken care not one complaint awesome
Tough course
What a great fun challenging course. Big wide fairways with large greens. The greens are really sloped and some have multiple tiers which require precise approach shots. GPS on carts very helpful when playing course for first time. Zach thought The Brute was harder than it’s sister course the Highlands but equally enjoyed both. Will definitely return to play both courses. Oth courses were in excellent condition.
Brute
Course in excellent shape and an interesting challenge
Love this course!! Great staff!! Challenging course fairways and the greens. Can’t wait to come back
Great golf
Conditions were great for ace a little slow front nine but improved on back 9
Very well taken care of it was in excellent condition
Really nice course
This is a really nice course that is in great condition!
Brute
Very enjoyable round. Beautiful scenery with a lot of elevation change, which I like. Greens had a lot of slope making them extremely challenging. Too bad there are so many ball marks in them that weren't repaired. I repaired an average of at least 5 marks per green that belonged to somebody else.
Enjoyable 18 holes
Had a 7:33 AM tee time on a Friday. Temperature was mild about 60 degrees and a clear sunny day. Probably was separated by 2-3 holes from groups in front and behind. Did not rush, but kept a good pace of play because drives stayed in the fairways. Finished in just under 3.5 hours. Course was in magnificent condition; the staff was invariably cordial and engaging. A wonderful day.
Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We strive for a 5-star experience, so we welcome your feedback. We work hard to maintain the course for everyone's benefit, which means aerifying the greens as part of our regular maintenance schedule. The greens will be healed soon and in pristine condition. Please come back soon for the 5-star experience you expect at Brute at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa.
