Part 4, Chapter 4: Between Shots Action/Summary

  • |

Instructors Pia Nilsson, Lynn Marriott

Slow play is a part of golf, but instead of being annoyed at the group in front of you while you're standing in the Play Box, waiting impatiently for your turn, step back into the Think Box and do something to change your state of mind and put yourself in a good performance state. You need to take charge of the situation because if you allow your mind to run you, it's going to take over. The same thing applies when you're coming off a few bad holes in a row. To prevent the wheels from completely falling off, you need to take action and do something with your body, mind or emotions to put yourself back in a positive performance state. If you're not in a good state, you need to change the state first before blaming your technique or the slow players in front of you.
