Thank you. Do you swing your putter with one hand only? Do you train using the front hand with the back hand just lightly on the grip, and also reverse what hand is the leading hand( holding firmer) and the other hand lightly on the grip.
Carolin ~ Thanks for this tip and I believe it is valuable for the majority of those watching. However, I’m an older player, with Meniere's Disease (which translates to me as having balance issues) with a left hand tremor. I used to take the putter back with my left hand being the actor, then transfer control to the right hand for the followthrough. This worked quite successfully for more than 35 years. Now that cannot be trusted; my left hand lies to my right hand. So, I now take my putter grip, then extend forward and downward my thumbs, to lock my wrists as much as possible (quieting the left hand tremor), then I lock my upper arms to the forward sides of my chest (anchoring them), and then pull my shoulders backward (anchoring them) – both the last two moves to lessen the impact of imbalance issues, as well as a slightly wider stance. Result is putter heel is off the ground due to the USGA rule re: putter shaft not allowed more then 80 degrees to the ground. It works, but is not easy to do. Less effective for longer putts though. No question – Just thought I’d share.
