Why not do this drill with my Tourstriker Smart Ball.? :)
Most people have a towel handy. It’d be great if everyone had a smart ball:)
Hi Martin, so when doing this Tommy Fleetwood style shot, is there a general rule on how much distance you will loose from a full shot? You mentioned it would take about 30 yards off of your full 8 iron would that Be the same for say a 7 or 9 iron?
There is certainly a forecasting and feel element required, but if I gave you a number, play for 10-15% less distance.
Hi Martin. It looks like your club is somewhat closed. Is that the case?
😳 Now you have me all messed up! I’m not trying to close the face at address. I like to aim the face where I want the ball to start.
Martin, GREAT tip. The towel drill really seems to give me a stability and reminder that my body and arms need to move together. It also emphasizes my follow thru. Thanks.
Wesley, thanks so much for the note. I hope you are doing well.
Do you like the towel drill for pitching and chipping as well?
Absolutely!
I’m finding that no matter how I adjust my swing with my Driver, I’m still slicing the ball. What can I do to stop my slice?
Hello Michael, that’s a very frustrating problem. Your club face is too open for the clubs path. Nine out of 10 times, it is a wrist condition or grip issue that leads to this problem. Please search wrist conditions on golf pass
How can I practice what you showed with the PlaneMate during this off-season ?
John, if you have a PlaneMate, you don’t need the towel. Have fun with the protocols available on my website. Thank you so much
