Do your bump-and-run chips check up too much causing the ball to come up well short? If so, try this technique from Randall Hunt to ensure the first bounce is forward with no spin. Just show the ground what time it is!

Why not set up with the handle and weight forward? (i.e., preset your finish position)
Shots never have top spin unless they have been totally mishit.... less backspin, yes, but top spin? No.
