Pinelands Golf Club

I know that today was the best day in a while but the pace of play was crazy slow. The Marshal drove by a few times and spoke once that a group that was 2 in front of us was being told to move faster. That lasted about a hole maybe two and I guess the Marshal gave up. Front 9 was “quick” but add another 30 minutes for the back nine. That’s when we just wanted it to end.

The drinks were cold and the employees (both the cart crew and the restaurant staff) great. Just wish it had been on pace with the card.

Great course and layout. All staff members were great except for Ranger who kept telling us we were behind but we had to wait on the tee for the group in front of us to proceed up the fairway. This guy needs to smile and enjoy the course and it's customers instead of looking at his watch and tell us we were 7 mins behind. I hate slow play but sometimes common sense is the best path to take

Course in great condition, good pace of play, good restaurant. Only disappointing thing is only offer senior rate on day a week on Tuesday.

Great layout and clubhouse. Pace a bit slower than usual but not ridiculous. Need GPS in carts to help pace. Great clubhouse and restaurant.

The owners have invested in upgrading and maintaining the course. It's a really nice layout and is typically in very good shape. My only criticism is the pace of play. For some reason it always plays over 4.5 hours and most often close to 5 hours. There are several places where backups occur as a result of the challenging layout. Holes with shots over water and those with tight fairways where players spend time looking for balls in the woods. The carts have signs on the front posting the "time at turn" and "time at finish" and these times are usually laughably earlier than what you will experience. I'm not sure how the course could fix this, other than to ban players with handicaps over 20 from playing, which I know is not realistic. Anyway, I'm ambivalent about returning unless I can resign myself to a 5 hour round.

The course was cart path only - and we were told that via a text message well in advance. There fairways were recently aerated, seeded, and then got hit with some excess rain, therefore the cart path restrictions. Good news is that this affected everyone so the pace of play was actually pretty good. The greens were really nice even though you could tell they had been aerated recently. Can't wait to play this course when it recovers because you can just look and tell they really take care of the course and the amenities.

I regularly play several courses in southern New Jersey, and Pinelands is absolutely my favorite. The course is challenging but very playable, and each hole is interesting. It is almost always in very good condition. The staff is always very nice and helpful. I look forward to going back soon.

Tee boxes require attention. Crab grass on greens is a simple removal and should be addressed before it becomes an issue. Course is going down with current owners but still enjoyable

It's was cart path only , and when ur an average player u have to do alot of walking. That was to much walking
