Great course great value

Really great place to play, definitely going to lose a couple balls your first time if your hitting woods off the tee’s. Can’t wait to go back

Poor Organization

So I have golfed at the Links many times and have always used the GolfNow app because who doesn’t want to make a tee time and just risk showing up and there being no openings to play. You would think a course would want you to get a tee time so that it could be organized and know how full they get but not this course. A buddy and I showed up to a full clubhouse of people and was wondering what was going on. We had a tee time at 8:30 and this guy comes in after pulling carts off and starts checking guys in, most of them without a tee time so we are in line and it is almost our tee time and he calls my name. I said hear and then he goes well your going to have to wait until there is carts brought back in and was like we aren’t no country club and making a reservation on GolfNow doesn’t work with them. Well why would you have available tee times if you don’t honor them. The guy was rude and very unprofessional and should never make someone feel bad about making a reservation and trying to do things like they should be done. I understand there are members at courses like this but you shouldn’t have slots available for specific times if you can’t fill the slots. Such a beautiful little course to be ran by such a rude person.

Buy the Hot Deal

No set tee times, go anytime, decent course lots of water, hot Deal gives you pretty much half price. $14 for 9 holes isn’t bad at all. Rental clubs are meh.

3 unwarranted narcissistic (NPD) reviews

The opinions of the three prior reviews are from the same person.

The Links at OKC has spent the last couple of years focused on upgrading the experience for our residents, members and general public. Unfortunately, this person joined our community last April. His self importance and disregard for rules and other people has lead to his ban from our premises. I appreciate the eloquent reviews after being banned, but must point out the habitual lies this person tells. Court records paint a picture of a man who will lie cheat and steal to make himself look better than he is. Unfortunately his lies don’t cover up the failed business, two marriages, child endangerment's, court ordered drug rehabilitation, and battles over years of unpaid child support. When truths are exposed, he just doesn’t show up for court proceedings. Even his own attorney fired him.

I find his comments in his last review mirror how he is accused of treating his ex’s. The funny thing is, he doesn’t even have a sister! More made up lies.

I find it disappointing to think this one person with 3 reviews gets a voice. I guess that’s what makes our country great.

I invite anyone to come and experience our golf course yourself. We have excellent staff and want an enjoyable experience for our customers.

Good value. Nice conditions.

My 2nd time playing here. Course isn't fairly straight but there are some curves. A couple of the holes are challenging. I enjoy this course both times I've played it.

Ladies do not go

Went with my brother. Before even saying hello, a staff member hit us with the snootiest, most condescending tone: "You need a collared shirt to play here." I unzipped my golf jacket to show him my collar.

His response? A super suggestive, creepy remark about me unzipping my jacket. It was completely inappropriate and made me incredibly uncomfortable. My brother was furious.

We turned around and left without playing. This place cares more about fake elitism and making women feel uneasy than about golf. Never going back. Wouldn't recommend.

Do not waste your time or money. Resident here.

If you are considering a round here, let me offer the clearest advice you will receive: do not. This is not merely a poorly maintained course; it is a masterclass in mismanagement, where a hostile environment and laughable conditions conspire to ruin your day and waste your money.

The core of the problem is the owner/manager, Mark. His reputation precedes him, a fact confirmed by veterans at every local golf shop who simply shake their heads and say, “The guy who runs it is a real jerk. I’ll never go back.” This isn’t gossip; it is the lived experience of anyone who spends time here. I have witnessed him in heated, physical altercations with groundskeepers and have been personally subjected to his screaming, red-faced tirades in the parking lot, threatening bans for no reason. He presides over the property with an air of volatile entitlement, often smelling of a cheap margarita, creating an atmosphere of tension from the moment you arrive.

This toxic leadership manifests in every facet of the operation. The promised “amenities” consist of a dirty clubhouse that feels more like a neglected shed, featuring a dusty vending machine and a single, randomly placed $100 Puma shirt. Do not expect basic conveniences like water coolers or on-course restrooms—they simply do not exist.

The neglect is spectacularly evident on the course itself. The fairways are unfairly tight, often forcing you to play from someone else’s hole. The first three holes are a water-lined ball graveyard, so bring extras. Permanent “cart path only” signs on holes like the 5th testify to chronic, unresolved swamps of mud. The yardage markers scattered on the course are notoriously inaccurate, sometimes off by up to 120 yards, making a rangefinder essential equipment. Most tellingly, the greens are a cosmic joke, pockmarked with unrepaired ball marks and craters like the surface of the moon, often with multiple flags broken or missing entirely.

The final, unforgivable insult is the price, which approaches that of well-maintained, professional courses like James E. Stewart. For that same money, you are subjected to a fleet of golf carts that are a genuine safety hazard. My own cart has broken down three times, and I have watched four other groups stranded, forced to either walk back or limp their dying cart to the clubhouse.

In summary, you will overpay for the privilege of navigating a muddy, treacherous layout with lunar greens, using broken equipment, all under the threatening gaze of an unstable manager. It is a perfect storm of failure. Save your time, your money, and your peace of mind. Go literally anywhere else, but if you want a comparable price with an actual golf experience, go to James E. Stewart. This place is not just bad; it is an anti-golf experience.

Much better than expected.

First of all, the course is now a par 35 at a respectable 2873 yards from the tips. The staff was very friendly. No rude cart guy to be seen. The greens were in good shape and I will be back soon.

Go play it.
