Golfer Reviews
Like a private country club
Graywolf is a beautifully laid out course design, with only two adjacent fairways... the rest isolated and surrounded by woods. There are some holes with water, or sand, but not an over abundance. The fairways are quite wide, which helps the average handicap golfer. It's a very scenic, tree lined course. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and friendly, as is the gray wolf- like dog who is the course mascot. An overall very satisfying experience.
Where are the ball washers!
Love the course. I may have missed them, but I didnt see any ball washers and with the mud is some places that was problematic. Overall, I do enjoy playing here.
Hidden gem
This is such a fun course! The people running this place make you want to come back again and again. They are so kind and accommodating. The vibe is so chill and fun! The course is fun and full of challenges( the 9th hole is no joke)! Treat yourself to a great day of golf at this great place.
Great time
Course is in pretty decent shape, I love the updated club house.
Still Work to be Done
Have played this course off and on for about 5 years. While it has gotten progressively better, its clear that the course does not have the funding to really spend on maintenance/improvement of the grounds, That said, this was the first time i have ever seen as many cars in the parking lot as there were, so there is definitely more income coming in. Another improvement is that they offer 4 sets of tees, but 6 sets of "play from" options. This is very valuable in a course like this one, which has above average length and slope for white, blue and gold tees. Unfortunately, GHIN has not added those options (sent them a note), and was not aware of the rerouting, or that yardages and slope do not match the course scorecard.
Good value, fun track, not great condition
Title says it all. Still recommend for sure because it's a worthy course and I want them to be supported and get the place in great shape.
Always a fun and challenging course. We are always impressed when we go. We are not the fastest and generally try to play using the scramble method. Staff is very friendly and willing to help.
Worth the money
Great layout, interesting holes, and very friendly staff. The only issue is in the rough and on some fairways. Way to much clover. They need to spray and get rid of the clover and it would be an amazing public course.
Overpriced
I have played this course of the last 4 years, it started to improve but conditions have seemed to have gotten worse since last year.
I found on many of the greens there were oil marks where a lawn mower was leaking. There were also burns in the greens of the same size telling me this is an on going issue. Why not fix a mower that is leaking oil all over the greens?
The prices gave gone up significantly on golf now while the course conditions have decreased.
I'd love to see more effort be put into improving the course conditions, I'll play again next year and give another report. I've seen enough for this year sadly.
Why have the greens fees increased while course conditions have decreased?
I have played this course since it was renamed. Initially the conditions improved but the last 3 years they have gotten worse. Every green had oil spots on it from a leaking oil line on a mower. Every green had damage from prior oil leaks during mowing. This alone lets you know how much they care about conditions not maintaining the equipment to maintain the course.
I don't understand prices increasing while course conditions are decreasing.
Great course for the money. They’re re-building
Played in April and it was cold. The course was great for those early conditions. I loved the layout. I spoke with the owner who said they were still trying to rebuild after a tornado had rocked their course several years ago. Clubhouse was nice and you’ll be greeted by their huskie. This course has the potential to risk to be one of the best. As of right now. I love it for the price and layout. Definitely worth a try.
Rockets
Great day of golf at Graywolf! Our foursome hit some rockets today! Great wide open holes that could be a challenge.
The pace was held up by a group of 5 with two carts that were in front of us.
We will definitely go back!
