Hills at Community Golf Course

About
The Community Golf Center facility offers two regulation length golf courses, the Dales Course and the Hills Course. The Hills Course is the longer and slightly more difficult of the two. Due to its location nestled in the rolling hills south of Dayton, the terrain is quite hilly and at some times very difficult to walk. Designed in the 1920s, the course has an older layout but it is still an interesting and challenging game with tricky tees placed above the greens and water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The golf course's fairways are rather narrow and there is an abundance of stately trees, planted at the turn of the century.

Good course.
Like most rounds at Hills and Dales, the determining factor for a good round is pace of play. Luckily I am able to get out early enough that it is not overcrowded.
slow play
Have played this course many times. Hills course is challenging. Course was busy. However, our day was ruined by a foursome who we were told are well known "regulars" who never hit the ball over 150 yrds, waited for cronies to join them after teeing off on the first hole and turned a slow 2some into a slower 4some, that hunted balls in every hazard, and refused to give way to faster players. Their actions pushed our tee time back 10 mins before we could even hit our first tee shot. They turned what could have been a nice 3 1/2 round into 4 hrs 35 mins of agony. Even after being warned by the starter that they were slow, we never saw a ranger to regulate pace of play. There are too many other golf courses who regulate pace of play to come back here.
Golf on a hot day
Only complaint was the greens were very slow, otherwise I thought the course itself was in great shape
Great shape , great price, great day , great deal ! So-So score.
first time out this year. great to be out.
considering time of year, things were a little rough
but expected. There was a book written about
golf being a good walk spoiled. We rode par-
took in a frosty beverage and enjoyed the
day
Community Dales Course was I’m excellent Condition
The weather was wonderful and course in excellent condition. There were many golfers and restaurant was closed unfortunately, I’m sure the restaurant would have had more business than they could handle.
Like the course layout. Easy to play and maneuver since there are two courses .
Great play on a cold day
My foursome was the only forsome on a cold wet day. The course was is great condition considering it was very wet from over night rain.
Average Experience
Course was in good shape, but we had to wait about a half hour for carts and then the pace of play was extremely slow. Bad combination.
