About

Located on the southeastern coast near Edinburgh, Craigielaw Golf Club is in close proximity to the very links courses that inspired its own design, including Gullane and Muirfield. Opened in 2001, the course stands out as one of the newest courses in an area known for having some of the oldest golf courses in the world. Despite being much younger in comparison, Craigielaw G.C. manages to hold its own as one of the most challenging links golf courses in Scotland. The layout features interesting hole designs that will have golfers hitting both tee shots and approach shots over bunkers, stone walls, rough, and meandering streams. The wind, like on any links course, is also a tricky factor. The fourth is ranked as the toughest hole, and with good reason. This monster par 5 has a stone wall along the entire right side and treacherous rough on the left.
