Chehalem Glenn Golf Club sprawls across beautifully hilly terrain, providing a course that is not for the faint of heart. The course is defined by the dramatic changes in elevation, which can make it tough to walk. The steep hills make this a tough golf course even for high handicappers. Uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies abound and you'll also face forced carries to narrow landing areas as well as blind layup shots. The more open front nine is player friendly and the back nine is where it gets tougher with mostly tree-lined holes and more strategically placed bunkers. The golf course is as scenic as it is challenging with elevated tees and greens that overlooks the surrounding hills and valleys. The beauty and difficulty of the course has built Chehalem Glenn Golf Club a reputation as one of the greater Portland area's must-play courses.

Challenging course filled with ravines
Course was in overall good condition. Greens were in good shape. The tee boxes were not in good shape.
Shaggy and redundant
Terribly shaggy greens and tee boxes. Do they even own a roller? Clearly not. Worst in the Portland metro area. Back 9 is the same layout hole after hole: Hit over a chasm and up a blind hill. Repeat. Every bunker trampled and unraked. Two thumbs down.
Very Slow Greens
I loved the layout and the challenges this course offered, but I was very disappointed in Every Green because of how slow it was; it felt like it hadn't been cut in a week. The fairways were a bit shaggy but in nice shape.
Tough But Fun
I really enjoy this course even though it’s very challenging. It’s always well kept and staff are friendly.
Greens need to be maintained properly.
The course is in good shape, except for the greens. The were slow and spongy. They didn't roll smoothly. And I feel I lost a few birdie because of it!
Very hilly
This is a course I wouldn’t recommend to walk. It’s very hilly. When I played the greens were bumpy and like carpet. You couldn’t even read the greens because how bumpy they were. Your ball will lose it’s line.
What's wrong with greens?
Thanks for trying to take care of your greens, but they're beyond mushy and slow, it's unacceptable. It felt like we were playing golf in the middle of winter after inches and inches of rain. Firm it up a little. It should take that much effort. This course used to be more challenging all around, but that taste started to disappear
Exciting layout with plenty of danger!
Very interesting course layout with plenty of ups and downs. It’s walkable but very arduous. Greens were slow but otherwise course conditions were good. A very reasonable value.
Nice course, softest greens ever- definitely not walkable
Very nice course for the money. The greens were oddly spongy and really slow, never seen that before. Unless you are young and very fit I wouldn’t suggest walking it. A lot of uphill walking and mostly because of the distance between some of the holes.
Slow play
The group 2 ahead of us was slow and the 4 some ahead of them were slow. Come to find out they were all together and they played as a 5some.
