About
Guildford Golf & Country Club has long been known as one of the finest courses British Columbia has to offer. The golf course is located in Surrey, just across the U.S. border from Washington and less than 40 minutes from Vancouver. The scenic layout has fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are large and undulating. There are also creeks that weave across the golf course and numerous lakes that come into play. The layout has a classic design that still provides a challenge for all skill levels. Golfers are put to the test right away on the first two holes, a par 4 and a par 3 respectively, which require good course management and thoughtful decision making. Guilford's standout hole though, is the signature 16th. This tough par 3 is modeled after the notorious 12th hole at Augusta National, complete with a stone bridge and water hazard that encircles almost the entire green.

Sunday golf
Pace of play was horrendous
Course conditions sub par

played a round of golf on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Surrey, BC. My tee time was at 12:42 PM, and I didn’t finish until 5:56 PM. This made for an extremely long and frustrating round.
The pace of play was very slow throughout the entire course, especially with the groups ahead of us. Unfortunately, this significantly affected the overall experience.
Given the excessive delay, I believe some form of compensation or a discount on a future round would be appropriate. I hope you can look into this and consider making things right.

Fun Course
This a one of my favorite courses around Vancouver. It's a bit pricey with a cart on weekends but it's not short and has a ton of different style of holes.
Just a little too soggy
It's an excellent course with lots of challenging holes. Plenty of elevation changes but right now there's just too many areas that are soupy where your ball plugs. It just needs a few more sunny days to dry out. Greens are a little bumpy as they haven't quite healed from the recent punching. Still an excellent value, just be prepared to get muddy.

Great course layout and a pleasure to play. Pace of play was slow and no Marshal around which Led to a 4:40 round. Green in excellent condition for this time

Not worth the price in current conditions
Very disappointed with the condition of the course. I understand there has been a lot of rain lately, but the course was in extremely poor shape and there was no communication beforehand. For the price being charged, I expected much better or at least a heads up so golfers could decide if they still wanted to play.
