Horrible pace of play
Very nice course but however, every time im out there there's always a pace of play and staff issue. It was just two of us in a cart. We waiting 20 minutes to tee off on the first tee box putting us way behind schedule. There was no marshal or starter in sight to speed it up. We let one group behind us play through since they were quicker. Then at the turn we were approached by a staff member and was told that we should pick up the pace on the back 9. We already teed off 20 min late and according to the cart thats how far we were behind schedule. All together it took us about 4 hours to finish which is normal. Not sure if ill come back and play there anytime soon.
Cart path only
The cart path only on non par threes seems unwarranted and time consuming. Forcing golfers to carry their clubs and range finder is no conducive to friendly and fast paced play. Please reconsider this troublesome policy.
Great course and fair layout
Course requires accurate tee shots due to many large trees lining each fairway. Good layout, a couple of doglegs may require layups or bending shots around prominent trees. Greens were great, sand was a bit wet and heavy. I was not use to the heaviness of the sand - but bunkers were in good shape too. Pace of play was fast and amenities were excellent. Saw cart girl several times each nine!
Riverwood Golf Course
It was a lovely morning to play golf and the course was in great shape. My complaint was the cart situation. There were a number of holes with “ carts to remain on cart path” and a number of times we lost power to the cart when the msg was “restricted area - return to cart path” even though we had just left the tee box!
There is a limit to.the issuing of instructions to cart drivers and this was surely exceeded at Riverview.
Good course
Had a good time. Grass conditions werent great but that is expected this time of year. Friendly staff. All the trees give some nice shade on a hot day.
Lots of doglegs right
Wonderful course. I visited from out of town and played with some regulars. They were extremely nice and helpful, guiding me around the course. The greens are extremely challenging, as they are all crowned. The day I played most pin placements were just a few steps from the edge, making most putts quite challenging. Lots of woods on both sides of most fairways, but I only lost one ball!.
Lots of Doglegs Right
I was able to play with some regulars, and they gave me valuable information. Since I have a consistent right-to-left ball flight the course was more challenging for me than most.
Riverwood is Great
Riverwood is a great and very playable course and the staff ia friendly.
Course is very forgiving on bad strokes
Besides the group ahead of us and the group behind us hitting while we’re on the fairway everything else was great
Unnecessary delays
The staff did not understand Golf Now is prepaid, insisted on collecting our money again until I produced my email confirmation. And no carts available when I paid for one delayed us 45 minuted :(
Nice spot
Nice course - course was really dry so it was tough to stick anything on the greens. Tournament was coming up this weekend so pin placement was challenging. Both of those seemed to be a deviation from normal based on what I heard from others.
Cart was path only which was a little frustrating. Course was in pretty good conditions and it’s a good layout with trees everywhere.
Kendall in pro shop was really helpful.
