Spring Valley Golf Course

The course has had some more upgrades...increasing the environmental areas (like around hole 2 and 18) which makes it much more aesthetic. Greens were in great shape. Course understandably (fairways, rough) is drying out. Had a great day, and played in 4 hours.

The course has 5 wells. They’re watering only the greens.

Staff super friendly and helpful. The other players (in front or back) aren’t D-bags. They don’t hit into you of drag booty.

We drive up from COS. it’s well worth it!

We went to Spring Valley to celebrate my son’s 23rd birthday. We had a good round and the staff treated us very well. The one complaint we had was that there was a group of 6 (5 who were actually playing) in front of us. Their pace of play was obnoxiously slow and we found ourselves waiting a good 5+ mins to tee off on each hole (we are by no means great golfers and we were not in a hurry). I found it difficult to find any rhythm to my game with constant delays and was surprised that the group did not simply let us play through. We started our round at 11:20 in the morning and did not finish our round until 4:20 pm. We only saw a ranger once the entire round, and I believe it was on hole #3. In all, we had a great time, we enjoy the course, but the overall pace of play was frustrating.

Misleading & and incomplete information. Should have been informed by Tee Off that the rate was for 9 holes only. I was embarrassed as I had a guest Who like me were expecting to play 18. Nothing on my receipt indicated this. Not sure who dropped the ball.

They've improved the course over the years but now that the cost is as high as anywhere else in Denver, without the quality of the experience, it's still only a course to play if there's nowhere else available. Lots of families and beginners on the course so it's usually a 5hr round. 3:50 tee time, $86 with cart. Small bucket $6. Threesome with a walker. Played two balls on a few holes, still waited on every tee. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape, wet. Greens were too wet, leaving shoe indentions. Probably running around 8 speed and bumpy. Putting was basically pointless. Lots of mosquitoes on #6,#17,#18. All the water stations were empty. Beverage cart was out until 5pm and she mentioned she was done for the day. Saw the marshall twice. Drove by once on the front, and then he was with two men on the backside that were fishing one of the course ponds (I would also like to fish that pond). Thought he might be chasing them off, but he drove one of them back to their truck to get some more supplies. Lol, I consider myself a high tech redneck and consider Spring Valley a ountry course with a city price tag. 4:10 round, I shot 41/42 Blue tees, and yes I'll play there again at some point.
