Saddle Rock Golf Course

Greens, tee boxes, fairways. Various ones all over the course are a disaster. I know there are drought considerations but I won’t come back until I get an update from someone who tells me that it has improved.

The greens had a ton of disease on them and it was near impossible to hold any line. They were softer than most other greens around but just overall the entire course grass was like that of a $30/round type of course. Not worth $90 at all!

The painted 250th Flag on the fairway was cool. But you can tell they spent more time on that then keeping up the actual course.

I’ve played here multiple times last year but this was my first time out this season. Love the course but multiple tee boxes had major spotty patches of grass and were very inconsistent. Fairways also had spotty patches as well. Hoping this gets improved throughout the season.

I enjoyed my round there - pace of play was perfect- it’s been a very dry winter so tee boxes were in a little rough shape and the greens were very hard and firm - overall I enjoyed it there and can’t knock the course for the weather -

Nice Layout. Great facilities with friendly staff. Condition of course was not great. Early Season and needs water. Look forward to playing again.

The course is a good layout and I initially scheduled 18 Holes, but because the pace of play was so slow I had to get a raincheck for the back 9. It took 3 hours to play only 9 holes and ended up waiting on each tee with the group ahead.

Very nicely taken care of course - no complaints at all there. Beautiful views, nice greens/teeboxes etc. Tons of Goose poop all over fairways, but it is February. My only gripe would be: if the course is WALKING ONLY, AND you charge $80 to walk it... have some XXXX water in the areas there should be water coolers. I brought my own large bottle and figured with how "nice" it "should" be, they'd have water for their golfers out there. Nope. Just trash. Can't believe not one person has complained or done something about it. Regardless of the time of year, if folks are out AND can ONLY WALK, have some WATER out there for them. Ridiculous... Yes, I did bring my own bottle of water. Actually, two. It's a long course to walk and the front is very hilly. Just silly out of the staff but otherwise amazing course and I will be back.

I haven't been to Saddle Rock in a few years, but this course will likely make its way into my regular rotation. The Aurora Municipal Courses are all in great shape, and there is a ton of variety among the group. This course is a fun routing with numerous elevation changes and interesting looks off the tee. The course is hilly, but still walkable. The front nine has some beautiful views of the mountains.

The stars of the course are definitely the greens. They are running devilishly fast, and some of the pin locations left our group scared to be aggressive while putting. It was a fun test that challenged everyone to level up their short game and strive to put the ball in the right spots on approach shots. It is not often that we get to putt on greens that are this quick, and this is a great time of year to play. Get out to Saddle Rock and enjoy it while the weather is still good and the course is in great shape!

Girls at the counter were fantastic! Joe the starter, this ole codger… fantastic. The course? Fantastic! No complaints would play over and over!

First time out and what a nice surprise! Put this one on your to do list.

First time playing here , loved the elevation changes and the views were great (for being off Arapahoe) . Only down fall was they just aerated.. which I know is needed , just was the only “negative” great course , will be back

Usually get around pretty steady, but today was horrid even teeing off at 8AM. Had reached the 4.5 mark at hole 16 and walked off. Literally walked. Saw the group two groups ahead of us on 18 as I was driving away.

Amazing views on the back 9.. challenging course and overall in great shape. The views of the rolling fairways on 13-15 are second to none. A bit expensive compared to some other course's we considered but can tell it’s going back into the course.
