Course in pretty good shape for this time of the year
Best course in Fairbanks
Great course, layout is fair and challenging Condition was really good, Considering, that spring just arrived in Fairbanks. Everything is green and growing well. Some patchy areas on one or two greens, but that was it. We had a 6:30 pm tee time and finished at 11:00 pm. We could have played another 18 holes. Super cool playing golf in the land of endless daylight.
If you want a challenge at a fair price, on a good course…play Chena Bend.
Key point: Arrive at the visitor center 1 1/2 hrs prior to your tee time. Security will need to run a background ck on you, prior to allowing you to enter the base.

New Favorite Course in Alaska
My new favorite course in Alaska. Well kept greens and tee boxes. Fair layout with no gimmick holes. Nice staff and relaxed atmosphere.
Top Quality course located on military base
the course was in excellent condition.
the tex boxes were good.
the fairways were good.
greens were very slow; that's not a bad thing.
Enough challenge and had fun!
Base access with GN tee time confirmation took a few minutes at Badger gate. Very friendly staff. Greens were in great shape. No major water in play from the gold tees. And some challenging par 5’s. Only problem was a two that played slower than a four.

Great! Alaska courses are unique and fun. Had a blast.
Chena Bend
Good course, especially for Alaska. Opened a week earlier than normal due to outstanding weather. Had a few temporary greens and 1 hole have construction on it. Good value for the money and not especially challenging so great for new golfers.
Best course in Fairbanks
This golf course is challenging enough for the experienced and yet a great place for beginners to start. The overall golfing experience suffers from the, often painfully endured, slow play. This can be attributed to the lack of a course marshal on site.
Overall this is a great course, but suffers from a lack of competent management.

This golf course is challenging enough for experienced golfers and yet it's a great place for beginners to learn the game. There is no course marshal who actively goes out and regulates slow play. This makes for long frustrating days when waiting on others who won't let you play through. Overall this is a great course, but due to its lack of competent management suffers with personnel issues.
