Mallard Creek Golf Club - The Lakes Course

Took 5 hours and 20 minutes to play 18 holes.

Nothing was done to address slow pace of players. At least one group ha 5 players which added to slow play..

The course was great on a beautiful day. The whole staff there is really cool and kind. Great deals. Esp during the week. I hope to get back there a few more times this year. I love hole 13. The last 2 times I have birdied it. And I don’t hit many. :). Thanks again to the whole staff for keeping this course in great shape. Clubhouse is really nice. The resto next store is awesome too.

4 stars on course condition due to cut grass/shavings left on the greens on majority of the holes. Needed brushed or blown to the edges. 5 stars on everything else.

So I rarely play weekends,, but the pace of play way pretty good for a weekend,, Fairways, Greens and Rough is in good shape,, course was dryer than I expected for late spring,, My only complaint is the T-boxes are always over used and chewed up,, they need to use half the width at a time,,, they have the markers full width and the t-box never gets a chance to recover, JMHO,, Fun day and a fair price via Golf Now

Grass is too high and it takes forever to find your ball even in the middle of the fairway. A few tee boxes had tractor marks all gashed out. I expected the soggy areas. Course needs arrows to guide to next hole that blends with another 9. Could use a ball cleaner station here and there. Other than that the weather was nice and the club house refreshment stand girl was cute.

I read some reviews before playing here and I think people are overly critical. The course is generally pretty wide open with hazards being as avoidable as you want them to be. It’s hard to lose balls here and it makes for a fun playing experience for less experienced players such as myself. The tee boxes are in rough shape overall, but the fairways and the greens I found to be in solid condition. The grass was well maintained and there aren’t any bunkers.

It’s certainly not a TPC course, but if your goal is to go out and play an enjoyable round without breaking the bank, it’s a good choice. The scenery and ducks were cool too. I’d play here again!

Being the time of year and weather conditions this corse was in excellent shape. Only negative thing is that the greens had a lot of goose droppings that could have been removed prior. Overall I had a great experience and would suggest to anyone to play there.

The greens are in great shape. They run a little slow, but smooth and true (and golfers here actually fix their ballmarks!!). The course layout is enjoyable and varied. It’s flat with enough water and trees to provide some challenge. The fairways are a little chopped up, but playable, and the rough is a little thin, so you’ll be able to find your errant shots. The people are very friendly.

Love going to this course. For the o ice you can't complain with 36 holes you could golf all day. Gets busy at times and sometimes your waiting to tee off for a few minutes. But undertandnle when a course is in that great of condition. Everyone wants to be there!
