Brentwood Golf Club
About
Brentwood Golf Club in Grafton may not look like much at first but as one of the best values in the area, it has become a local favorite. It's a short course at 5,148 yards from the back tees, making it an excellent layout for beginners especially since there is very little sand and hardly any water. Long hitters may be disappointed at the lack of long par 4s and par 5s but more advanced players will find that it's great for a quick, casual round. It's a gentle golf course that any player can tackle with confidence but the subtly tricky greens provide some challenges. The approaches require a bit of strategy and accuracy doesn't hurt either though it's a very forgiving layout. Brentwood Golf Club's greens are also known for being in consistently good condition.

Good Beginners Course
Short, easy course. Course conditions have deteriorated in the last 15 years, but the price matches the experience, and the course is mostly for lower skilled golfers like beginners, youth, seniors, etc.
Great Spot for a Scramble
Course has some spots that need a little TLC, mostly some of the greens. It's also a pretty short course overall and I don't think there were any bunkers. But the length combined with the unique layout of many of the holes I think would make it a great spot for a scramble. Some of the holes have a somewhat bizarre amount of tree coverage over/near the greens that requires you to either place your previous shot in the perfect spot or to keep your approach shot pretty low. A couple of the par 4s in particular are super drivable off the tee in terms of length, but in terms of trees, going for the green is tricky, which would make them fun for a scramble.
Compact, friendly 18-hole course
Compact, friendly 18-hole course with well-kept fairways and quick greens; ideal for beginners, families, and a relaxed 18-hole loop played twice. Layout is short but strategically bunkered and tree-lined, rewarding accuracy over distance. Staff are welcoming and rates are affordable; pace of play is generally brisk. Good practice facilities and modest clubhouse — good local value for casual rounds rather than tournament-level play.
Late night 18
Started 1 at 6:30pm and was able to wrap up 18 at the last possible light. We were out late, but the staff was cool about it. Brentwood is a good little course. Will be better when the mats are gone on a couple holes on the back.
Never should have opened the course
Entire course was soaked to the point you couldn’t hit from the fairway on solid ground. Never should have opened the course or should have given a discount to customers
Great value as a beginner or warm up course
Course was a bit rough but had a 915 tee time on a Sunday and wasn’t held up at all. Fantastic value at 37.00 for 18 riding
FOR BEGINNER GOLFERS, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
Very bad fairways and tee boxes at some parts, could be a fun layout but there is not enough care unfortunately. Very good for beginners, quite an open course with only 3 or so water hazards and no bunkers.
Probably the most affordable course in the area but it is also the worst taken care of. Every green has areas of dead patches. Fairways around the greens were just dirt.
Fun little course
I have played this course 5 times now. Good value. It’s a good place to take my 13 year old son. It’s on the shorter side yardage wise. The card lists it as a par 70, but realistically it’s more of a par 68 or so. Shot 42 on the front 9 and really didn’t play well at all. I’m typically a bogey golfer. Back 9 is tighter, and more heavily wooded, 2-3 shots more difficult. The par 5s are all easy pars I’d you play conservative, eagle opportunities on all if you can hit a draw with a 3 wood down the left side of the fairways. Hole 6 really should be a par 4, not 5. Numbers 8 and 16 are driveable par 4s. Greens had just been aerated and sanded. I think they’ll be real nice in a couple of weeks. Some patchy fairways, but I think the weather wasn’t the best this season as that seems to be an issue at a lot of courses in this area. It’s priced right for what it is.
