Brentwood Golf Club in Grafton may not look like much at first but as one of the best values in the area, it has become a local favorite. It's a short course at 5,148 yards from the back tees, making it an excellent layout for beginners especially since there is very little sand and hardly any water. Long hitters may be disappointed at the lack of long par 4s and par 5s but more advanced players will find that it's great for a quick, casual round. It's a gentle golf course that any player can tackle with confidence but the subtly tricky greens provide some challenges. The approaches require a bit of strategy and accuracy doesn't hurt either though it's a very forgiving layout. Brentwood Golf Club's greens are also known for being in consistently good condition.

Not great!

If you play a lot of golf, this course is not for you. Short course, not in good condition, especially the fairways. Greens are OK, but there are a lot of greens that have burned grass surrounding greens. Tee boxes are in poor shape. The cost is the best part of the course. Pretty cheap for 18 holes! One positive is it’s easy to play, holes are not that challenging. I would recommend if you’re just learning how to play.

Great Design

Long hitters dream course. Go here to boost your confidence before a golf trip or if you just wanna say you lit one up. Greens are slow and sometimes you get stuck putting through some mountains but if you keep it close to the pin there’s basically no worries. Can miss just about anywhere on the front 9. Tight trees and a horrible mat for a tee box out on the back 9 i think it’s 13.. they did that a few years ago and never went back to grass it’s a problem! Basically driver wedge every hole and if not maybe 5 wood or 6 iron to wedge any hole. Sometimes you can tell the difference between the tee boxes and rough and fairways and when they do decide to cut it, it actually looks like a golf course but this year it seems they have a flower problem not sure if they just won’t spray or what. This was my home track in high school and i can’t get enough of the course design. 17 is just dumb because they won’t cut the tree down right in front of the tee box but if you hit a slice it’ll play, i normally take 9 iron over the tree and take utility wedge into the green. Super tall tree tho and i play from the tips so i get some extra distance from the tree. They pack those old folk and cut off wearing beginners out there so pace of play sometimes gets backed up, but if you’re competent this is a course you go absolutely light up and have a blast.. i think from the tips it’s still only 5600 or 5800 yards something like that. 7 is also getting overgrown with trees but it’s about 130-140 par 3 up a hill over a creek looks good but over the years i think it’s just too tight from the tips at this point. some challenges out there due to some trees but if you play those holes for a good miss then you won’t sacrifice your score yet, we will see how much longer they let some of those holes go with those trees. super affordable but i also think golf is meant to be played walking so that makes anything affordable maybe just don’t have money problems if your hobby is golfing!

Good Beginners Course

Short, easy course. Course conditions have deteriorated in the last 15 years, but the price matches the experience, and the course is mostly for lower skilled golfers like beginners, youth, seniors, etc.

Great Spot for a Scramble

Course has some spots that need a little TLC, mostly some of the greens. It's also a pretty short course overall and I don't think there were any bunkers. But the length combined with the unique layout of many of the holes I think would make it a great spot for a scramble. Some of the holes have a somewhat bizarre amount of tree coverage over/near the greens that requires you to either place your previous shot in the perfect spot or to keep your approach shot pretty low. A couple of the par 4s in particular are super drivable off the tee in terms of length, but in terms of trees, going for the green is tricky, which would make them fun for a scramble.

Compact, friendly 18-hole course

Compact, friendly 18-hole course with well-kept fairways and quick greens; ideal for beginners, families, and a relaxed 18-hole loop played twice. Layout is short but strategically bunkered and tree-lined, rewarding accuracy over distance. Staff are welcoming and rates are affordable; pace of play is generally brisk. Good practice facilities and modest clubhouse — good local value for casual rounds rather than tournament-level play.

Late night 18

Started 1 at 6:30pm and was able to wrap up 18 at the last possible light. We were out late, but the staff was cool about it. Brentwood is a good little course. Will be better when the mats are gone on a couple holes on the back.
