Mallard Creek Golf Club – The Woods Course
The Woods Course at Mallard Creek is a fantastic layout that really shines in warm, dry weather when you can get the full roll on the fairways and enjoy a crisp, fast round. On our recent visit, five consecutive days of heavy rain leading up to tee time made for very wet conditions and a strict cart-paths-only rule. While the soft ground and extra foot traffic to and from the cart paths made play a bit more challenging than usual, the course quality and layout still make it a must-visit—just make sure to catch it after a dry spell to see it at its absolute best.
Long grass.
Course layout is fine, But grass could have been cut down more. Lost balls in the fairways, thought I was in the U.S. OPEN. Course used to be taken better care of. Greens could have been better if golfers would have fixed their ball marks. Seem there is a difference between golfers who respect the game and people who just play the game. Don't care about the Course conditions.
Mallard Creek is where thoughtful design meets real-world playability
If you're seeking a course that blends fair challenge, friendly staff, strong community feel, and solid value—this is a spot crafted for players who just want to enjoy the game.
A slow rough ride
This was the first time playing Mallard Creek. We played the first two nines of the four. The first hole was in great shape and the round had promise. Unfortunately, that promise was quickly snuffed out by the results of extremely challenging weather this year and probably some sub-par maintenance. The fairways and tee boxes were barren or full of grabgrass. It was nuclear destruction on quite a few holes. The attention by the greens keeper was on the greens which were in very good shape with the exception of the unrepaired ball marks left ball non-courteous patrons. . Beyond the rough shape the round was slow, just under 5 hours. Finally, the layout was heavy on shorter doglegs which turned the effort into too many layups off the tees. Not my cup of tea. I hope the weather allows this course to recover as in fairness to the course, it has been a nasty summer.
Great course
This was a great course it was very spread out I did not feel rushed the only thing was that the cart Road was very bumpy
Great Course! Great Staff!
I played 27 of the 36 holes Mallard Creek has to offer today. The only 9 I didn’t play was the 3rd nine (holes 19-27). The course was in great shape. Real pretty course. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I will be back. Hopefully soon. I def recommend this course. If you are able to play during the week, you get some great deals. Weekend too. Golf Now is def the way to go. Thank you Mallard Creek! Foreeeeee!
Just OK
If you want to just find a place to play it’s OK. Not the most exciting course and in the middle of a swing the groundskeeper started moving the hole?! Giant swans were cool and aggressive
