Plum Creek Golf & Country Club
About
Legendary golf architects Pete Dye and Perry Dye designed the 18-hole, private course at Plum Creek Golf and Country Club, located in Castle Rock. Opened in 1984, the golf course features 7,044 yards of golf from its championship tees, playing to a par of 72. Dye included various different challenges in this golf course, causing some locals to say that it possesses some of the most difficult holes in the state. The hilly terrain of the well-bunkered course causes many uneven lies. Water hazards also come into play on some holes. Plum Creek Golf and Country Club boasts beautiful views of Castle Rock and the Rockies.

Great Course Conditions
Beautiful day — beautiful course! The layout is nice and challenging, and it’s in great condition with soft bunkers ;) Pace of play on a Saturday can be tough anywhere, but to finish about 20 minutes over is pretty good here! Had a great time with the people we were paired up with — and all but one staff were great!
(Still shaking my head over an unfriendly and grumpy bartender—not a good way to start the day—that encounter doesn’t fit the overall vibe and good experience that we ended up having.)
Plum Creek is always solid
From the staff to the practice areas, to the course conditions every part is great. The only things I’d change are the price and the staff inside the bar. They never seem friendly but the rest of the staff is great
Fine golf course
Played here about 5 years ago and was not impressed. Course conditions were awful. Pleased to report course is in great condition, greens were fabulous and staff was very friendly. New ownership made a world of difference!
Little steep green fee but great course!
Beautiful course and challenging. Staff were nice. Greens were a little rough in spots but overall good. Hard to give 5 stars when breaking the bank at $160 a round but that’s my only negative feedback.
Great course. But pricey
Super cool Pete Dye design course. I honestly had no idea. It was a Pete Dye course until I showed up and it did not disappoint. The layout like any of his forces you to think and use your brain a lot as to where you want to hit the ball
Small landing areas and small greens and water when you’re at your most tired on 16 17 and 18. I see pricey as I thought for the cost you could provide at least a bucket green balls.
Nice course
Not worth $150 dollars. You can play Castle Pines Ridge for less
Excellent course with varying elevation throughout
Excellent course, friendly staff. Adding blue, white and red yardage posts on the sides would be a great improvement. Digital system not helpful when it's cart path only.
Tough walk
First time playing. Difficult if you don’t know where to miss. Challenging layout. Walking is tough with the elevation changes and distance between certain holes.
Hope to come back again.
Mediocre grass and greens.
Great design and cool history being an old TPC course. I would never pay full price to play here at the daily tee time rate. The grass quality all around was generally mediocre. Greens fairways roughs all of it. Some random bunker with real low quality sand. All the other local places have way nicer greens and grass quality at the moment. Pace of play was great. Finished at just 4 hour and 8 minutes. Which is solid for out here.
Improving
Decent shape, greens beat up a bit and slow, cart path is a chore and irritating.
But much better shape than a few years ago, without the Hot Deal I’d never pay regular greens fees here.
Regular greens fees way too high!
