Reviews
Good greens, the rest needs a cut
The best part is the greens are in great shape, however the rest of the course could benefit from being mowed and cleaned up. Example high grass in tee boxes. Hard to distinguish rough from fairway at times.
1st- probably, last time visiting
Course is managed by the city. I'm pretty sure the city has no mowers. The greens were decent, but bumpy. Tee boxes: crazy tall grass, unless there was no grass, at all. Fairways: most were a tall as a good course's rough.
Sand traps: look like they were abandoned when Jimmy Carter was president.
Layout was decent. Has some neat holes.
Overall condition had us saying we'll never come back, but never is a long time. According to our random we were paired with, the course is actually getting better 👀 I'm glad we didn't see it when it was worse.
Great Staff!!
We got turned around trying to find hole 10 as we were only playing the back nine and the attendant drove out to find us when she saw we went the wrong way and drove us all the way back to the right spot!! So kind!!
Great course, great value
I have played this course as much as any other course in St Louis and I still love it. I’m a high handicap so I’ve donated my fair share of balls to the woods on 4 and 5. But I love the challenge and layout.
Pace of play is normally great and the greens are well maintained. I only wish they would fill the traps with sand or fill them up but that’s a minor quibble. I’ll be back soon!
I would definitely recommend this course for your average golfer. Tee boxes are hard on most of the holes. Greens not bad to be honest. I will give the fairways some grace though it hasn’t rained in awhile so they were firm. Other than that a solid course would recommend going with your friends
Ball sits nicely.
No specific turf grass on tees and greens but well cut and the ball sits nicely throughout the course. It's a shame the bunkers have all been abandoned.
Needs some updates to fairways and tee boxes
The fairways and tee boxes need to be cut much shorter. The staff was super helpful in getting me out earlier as a single and I played 18 in little over 2.5 hours. Great day on the course
