What could be
Have played this golf course twice a year last three years more so for the curiosity factor than for the true condition of the golf course. This course has a great layout, but is not maintained very well. It seems like the golf course is very dependent on the weather as to what conditions you will run into. Last year they had a flood in June, and for the rest of the season did nothing to repair the damage from the flood.
I get the feeling they don’t have a true professional greenskeeper, and that perhaps they have someone who is learning as they go. It seems if you play this course after 15 July each year you will run into a course that is burnt up and extremely difficult to get your tee in the ground on the tee stations.
There is very much a lack of attention to detail and the group I play with plays each one of the courses in Howard County a couple times a year, and this course by far has the slowest greens in the county. Over the last 10 years public golf courses have sped their greens up to the desire of today’s golfers. I’m going to guess this course did not get that memo. We drive up from Hamilton County and we have pretty much given up on this course being anything more than what we have seen.
Our group thinks this golf course would benefit from a very good greenskeeper considering the layout is unique. We were told that the golf course recently purchased new mowers, but I would say they have their priorities in the wrong spot. There is so much more that this golf course needs than new mowers.
As far as amenities, there is no pro shop and the people at the snack bar really like to push the alcohol
We have decided to take this golf course off our list of courses to play not worth the travel time to us anymore
Course had a tough layout
Hard course layout that challengers a mid handicapper. If the course had better upkeep it would be a very good course. Overall I enjoyed it and would play again.
Great course!! Great rates!!
Challenging course that they have done a tone of maintenance and upgrades to. If you use GolfNow and GolfPass you can get crazy awesome rates!! My favorite golf course in the area by far!!
Hit’em hard & strait!!
Great Course
Great Course to play. Has a nice putting/chipping green. Has a good mix of tight fairways and also some nice open par 5s. The par 3s have nice layouts. Greens are in good shape. Course overall is well maintained. My only complaint is that a few of the tee boxes are a little rough. Not an overcrowded course. Staff is friendly. Excellent course for any skill level. You won't regret playing there.
