Decent Neighborhood Course
Chippendale was a fair test with smaller greens and some tight fairways. The course winds around though a neighborhood, but the houses are never really in play, It has an interesting mix of straight and dog leg holes, though it does have one design flaw with back to back par 3's at 16 and 17. I can see that backing up and getting frustrating when busy. It's also the rare par 73. Looks like they had more holes at one point but abandoned them. Course was in good shape overall for late October, though the greens were rather slow.
All in all I think Wildcat Creek up the street is a nicer course, but Chippendale can be found rather cheaply on the discount sites, and it's worth a go for that reason. .
Rudeness of other golfers
Always felt like I was pushed. We started off and no was behind us, but after the 3rd hole 2 golfers came out of no where and right behind us. Another time a lone golfer came out of nowhere while we were still playing our hole and just teed off. This is nothing against the course, but just disappointed in the rudeness of other golfers.
Best course in the area for the price
Absolutely phenomenal course for the price. Great conditions, challenging layout, overall a great course.
Dusty's Take
When I started off by myself I didn't see anyone ahead of me, but by the third hole I caught up with two golfers in front of me who were held up by the three some in front of them. I joined the pair but we waited on every hole there after. Not a normal situation on this course, just a slow group.
The weather was great, the company was good so all in all a good day.
Brother's Outing
it was only the 2nd time that I had played the course and the first time for my brothers.
The course was in fine shape, a little early to battle finding your ball in all of the leaves to come.
The staff was friendly and courteous as well. We only had one minor hiccup. They initially could not find my reservation. I gave them my confirmation number and they told us to go ahead and play.
It was well worth the hour drive to get there.
Great layout
Fun course with a good layout. Challenging without being overwhelming. Course was in good shape except the bunkers. They were unplayable and hasn't been racked in awhile
Excellent Value
Great value, the course is in great shape. I live 25 miles from the course, but it is worth the drive.
Slow play
Overall course in good shape. Greens were a little slow. Lots of rain day before kept pace of play very slow,. Fairways in good shape and staff very friendly.
Wet day in May
This course has a fun and challenging layout. Unfortunately it had rained heavily the day before and the back nine was closed. We enjoyed playing the first nine twice and look forward to a return visit.
Great course was in very good shape. Greens putted very true. Well worth the money.
Favorite course
Everything about the course is nice. Challenging but very fun would be hard to get tired of this course.
