#GCDesignWeek: The rebirth of Winter Park Country Club near Orlando

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- The latest story of a municipal course receiving a facelift is in Golf Channel's backyard: Winter Park Country Club, A 100-year-old, nine-hole course, has officially reopened after spending much of 2016 under the knife.

The town of Winter Park invested $1.2 million into the golf course and hired architects Keith Rhebb and Riley Johns to perform the renovation.

While the par-35 course is short, at just under 2,500 yards, they were able to add more character to the layout in a variety of ways, adding new mounding and enlarging the greens among other enhancements.
