Nice course, hot deal
La Cana is a great course to play. Arrecife and Tortuga are the nicer courses with many holes along the ocean. Our foursome took advantage of a hot deal and played two days at a rate of $105 USD per player. We were staying at Cap Cana Sanctuary and had to pay for a cab, still worth it. Good driving range and putting green. Pro Shop staff and starter were nice.
Some warnings
-The address listed on the maps for this course is wrong. It is the La Cana 27 hole course.
-The round requires a mandatory caddie and then they want $40 plus tip.
Other than that, it’s a really nice course and the staff is very friendly.
A few nice ocean view holes
With the ‘hot deal’ and added costs of caddy it was a worthwhile experience. Found the course conditions to be dry compared to other courses played in Punta Cana. Greens were rock hard and did not allow for some ‘bite’ when hit with wedges etc.
La Cana
There are three nines. If you can, play Arriciefe and Tortuga. The newer nine does not have any ocean holes and is not as scenic. Overall, a great experience!
Nice track
The Tortuga and Arrecieffe nines are awesome, but the newer Hacienda nine is kind of boring.
Caddies are required, but great value for the money.
The greens are not super fast, but true and very playable.
Overall, a place you should try for yourself
Wonderful layout, fun to play
Excellent golf, wow!
But caddy not included but necessary
I would like to Know it before
20$ usd/person +tips
This is not Corales
There are two courses at Punta Cana Golf Resort. I was sold Corrales And they switched me to La Cana
The golf now website does not mention that there are two courses. Had I known this I would’ve never played
Great finish
Outstanding experience! Un-hurried and crowd free course that has some challenging holes. I failed at the short par 3 island hole! Great conditions, staff and play ability. You wont find better finishing holes in the Caribbean!
Challenging layout
Excellent course. This is the inland 9 holes of the 27 hole course La Cana .Newest of their 27 holes but often overlooked by players wanting ocean side golf. Excellent layout with a lot of risk reward shots. Great for all levels of players. Some of the friendliest caddies I've had the pleasure to have. Give it a try.
Must play
Played a week before PGA tournament so conditions were immaculate. Staff were great. Very playable but can be hard if you hit to the wrong place. A must if you're in the area.
Beautiful ocean front course in Punta Cana
This is the most beautiful of the La Cana Golf Club's three 9 hole courses, with many holes along the ocean or facing the ocean with challenging wind. It is a spectacular designed course that invites you to take risks, with both rewards and penalties depending on your results. I highly recommend this course.
The price I paid for 18 holes was discounted, so expect higher pricing - but with it.
Uncrowded, relaxed top notch golf in the Caribbean
This is one of the three 9 hole courses that make up La Cana Golf Club at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This is a P.B. Dye design golf course and has all the typical Dye challenges. It has a couple of holes along the ocean and the rest in a tropical setting, all part of the Punta Cana Resort & Club. The price I paid was as a guest of a Villa owner for 18 holes, so expect to pay higher prices for your game. You can play either the Arrecife or the Hacienda 9 hole courses to complete 18. I recommend this course!
Value with ocean views and fabulous amenities
La Cana may check in a notch below Corales, Teeth of the Dog and Punta Espada, but it's probably the best oceanfront value in the destination. This isn't a resort course so much as a member-for-a-day experience. When you book a tee time at La Cana from one of the Punta Cana resorts, bring your swim suit and a change of clothes and make a day of it. There's a private beach steps from the clubhouse, as well as a pool, spa and excellent outdoor dining. When they told us about their $2400/yr membership package, I was ready to start looking at real estate.
The Hacienda nine is the most recent addition, added in 2012, but you'll want to stick to the original 18. Each side has oceanfront holes and views.
If you're in Punta Cana and want to play golf but are not sure you want to pay the big bucks for Corales or Punta Espada, you will be more than satisfied with La Cana, especially if you embrace the total amenities package offered here.
