Puntacana Resort & Club - La Cana Club - Hacienda Course

Great layout . Greens a bit slow but still enjoyed playing. Course moves slow at times but totally enjoyed playing it. 9 an 18 absolutely beautiful and tough holes at the same time. Played it 3 times and would play it again.

Booked through golf now at a reasonable price that included taxes and cart. Only extra was caddy fee’s ($25 each for a 2some plus tip)

Before we started we encountered a gentleman who was really a free about pace of play and fact that members got priority treatment. We chatted to and he said he was passed by 5 singles ant a 2some, requiring him to hold in place. He said he guilt with 4 holes to go as it was taking so long. He would have started I would guess around 8 am.

We went out as a 2some with caddy and finished in 3.5 hours!

Greens were in great shape, most of our putts were dead straight. Fairways a little lumpy but very playable. Caddy was friendly and knowledgeable.

Only staff issue was at end of round when we wanted a drink before taxi arrived. Went into the bar and ordered a mojito. Got an unsmiling blank stare and said no mojitos, we should go to the pool bar, and turned away, then he made 2 margaritas for another couple.

This course is unbelievable. You will not regret playing and spending the money to play here. It has 3 9 hole courses. Tortuga and Arcliffe are the 2 courses that have holes along the ocean. Hacienda is beautiful as well.

The course is nice but not spectacular. It was very enjoyable. I happened to play by myself and I had my own caddy so I finished 18 holes in less than 3 hours. He was very supportive and knew the course well. Missy bunkers have either grass or hard sand surfaces. Greens we're good.

About the only complaint I had with course were the greens. Super fast and lots of undulations to make it a bit more tricky. Now having said that. The course was in great condition. Billy our caddy was very knowledgeable of where to hit and distance selection. Would play this course again. Be prepared for the heat LOL

Great Course but make sure you read the fine print as the price on GolfNow is NOT the price you will pay. Course will add 18% tax and you will also have to pay a caddie fee. Those things are stated in the fine print.

What wasn't in the fine print was the time the course closes. It wasn't until the 10th tee when they told us that we had to be in by 6pm (sunset was 6:45). So they sold us a 2:40 tee time for 18 holes with only 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete them. Not realistic for a 4-some and that should be fully disclosed.

A bit pricey but a very nice layout and quite forgiving. Will be back

La Cana is the perfect alternative to the premium courses at Corales or Punta Espada. While the two 9-hole courses (Arecife & Tortuga) offer some spectacular holes with sea views, the third course (La Hacienda) boasts attractive and challenging holes inland.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the course was in perfect condition. For me, it's simply the best value for money in the Punta Cana area.

This course offers a great layout with some stunning views. Three holes run alongside the ocean with a fourth hole having an island green. Great experience overall. The mandatory caddie was helpful for anyone who hasn’t played La Cana before. I recommend this course for players of all levels.

This is a beautiful course with holes right along the Caribbean Sea. There is a mandatory caddy policy but the caddy was knowledgeable and friendly. My biggest complaint was that there were a lot of rocks in the bunkers - especially the fairway bunkers.

Beautiful course. Ocean holes are quite impressive but really no bad golf holes to be found anywhere. Never played with a caddy before but he was quite good at his job and very friendly. Just wish I had played better. Will definitely try to get back here in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed this course so much we played again 5 days later so we could experience all three of the nines. The Ariciffe course is along the ocean and beautiful. The Tortuga course was a great layout and challenging. The Hacienda nine is secluded and quiet. Facilities are top notch as is the staff and amenities. The sandwich truck (food not included here) at the turn is awesome. Great experience and a good value. Caddy was OK, but spent a lot of time on his phone?! Still worth every penny.
