Sleepy Hollow Golf Course

Nothing special about this course but I play it 4-5 times a year. Fun course to play and not too difficult. Continues to get in better shape.

Followed a very slow league on front nine. They only play nine holes. I got done and immediately went to number 10 tee and a really bad twosome had gone off the back!!!! No ranger anywhere to be found. I jumped them and then played number 10 after 18. So it was not as bad as could have been.

Older tree lined course with elevation changes and 3 to 4K sized round greens. Course has a lot of crabgrass, greens are starting to grow back in, but still many bare spots. Layout is a little tricky, more signage is definitely needed. We made the turn and had a tough time finding the tenth tee. After finding it a threesome appeared in front of us. They were taking forever to play, well actually looking for their balls. They finally let us play thru, and in talking with them they said they were on the thirteenth hole, but it was the tenth. So as I said signage could be improved.

Course was sold at auction this spring with the stipulation that it remain open as a golf course for one year at least. Will be interesting to see if it is open for the 2020 season. I hope so as it does have potential.

Fairways were like roughs, greens were hard as a rock and beat up.. hit good shots and end up being penalized .... not even my 10th choice of course

This course is great if you are looking for a value course with a relaxed vibe. It is an especially great course for less-experienced/first-time golfers who don’t want the pressure of people breathing down their neck. It never seems to be too busy, which is great. Good value and friendly staff.

The day I played the course was filled with very slow foursomes who seemed unaware of faster players following. Conditions and course were otherwise good!

Always enjoy playing this course. Showed up as single and desk attendant suggested I go off back because front was crowded. Pleasant surprise. Played round in under 2 hours for 18 holes.

Staff was friendly. Course was decent. Unfortunately due to all the rain recently the grass clippings were everywhere. Good value for playing 18 holes. I will probably play here again.

Course did not have a ranger so there was nobody to speed things up. I watched foursome take at least 15 minutes looking for a ball!!!! There was a single behind them that they did not let play through. I skipped 3 holes and it still took 4 hours.

Course had some bare spots on the fairways but the greens were fine. Overall, it was hard but played OK. Cost was right and the folks were great. Wife broke 100 for the first time.

Course is in pretty bad condition and the layout Is average at best. Bunkers either had weeds all over or filled with gravel. Hard to tell between fairways and rough. Greens were rock hard. Way way way overpriced. Will not be going back and wouldn’t recommend.

This course was much better than expected based on previous reviews. The course had nice layout with fairly open fairways. Greens were in very good condition despite having been aerated recently and lack of rain. The only negatives was that the bunkers and sand traps were being worked on so unplayable. Not a problem since I did not end up in any.

I would definitely play this course again.

This course was interesting. It is not what you would normally think of as a country club. The sand traps were not in good shape, but the fairways were in decent shape and the greens and tee boxes were excellent. The greens were fast and true. Fairly tight, but the trees were trimmed up enough that you could manufacture shots. Really liked the layout - nice mix of holes. The course was not busy, so we had a relaxing day. Very good value for the price.
