Beechwood Golf Course - Lakeview/Woodland

About
Beechwood Golf Course in Arcanum is the area's only 27-hole course. The holes are divided into three nines, each named after the characteristics of their landscape, and played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Lakeview/Woodside Course begins with the club's newest nine. Lakeview, as its name would suggest, is defined by water. The layout gets you quickly acquainted with its challenges, requiring forced carriers over water on the second and third holes. Moving on towards the back nine, the holes become tighter and more heavily wooded. Seven of the Woodside's nine holes play through dense forest, requiring a great deal of accuracy. The seventh hole on this nine also has a severe dogleg left fairway to contend with. There is also contoured mounding throughout the golf course, that builds upon the already hilly terrain.

Greens are in great shape, and fairways were lush. I was unsure since Ohio in August can be hot and dry, but this course is in great shape.
Needs some TLC
The course numbering and naming is very confusing. The rough is ridiculous, if I was playing the PGA and had someone to locate my ball just feet off the fairway I would understand. Just chat it a little lower. They need to get rid of all the bunkers they are unplayable. Will not be returning
Not great..
Couldn’t tell the difference between the fairway and the rough. Bunkers just had a flat circle of sand. The course was very brown. Place of play was awful. Just all around not a good experience
Not well managed
I drove half hour to play this course cuz I found a deal on golf now for 18 holes with a cart. There were no set tee times that were being followed and on the first hole for both the front nine and the back nine I waited 20 min. This lead to a stop and go round for all 18 holes. The tee boxes were well marked but the path to get to them was not easy to follow. The greens and fairways were well kept but the rough had to be over 6" tall. If your ball was not in the first or second cut, it was an Easter egg hunt. In short this course could have been a great play if I didn't have to wait so long between shots and they lowered the mower deck a notch or 2.
Going downhill
I have played the courses several times in the, but have not played there for 5 years. The tee boxes were in poor shape. The greens were very firm could not leave a ball mark but at the same time extremely slow. I was disappointed from how the course used to be a few years ago.
Fun Course to play!
Beechwood is a tad out of our usual travel to play golf, however, a Tee Time Golf Pass made the trip worthwhile. The course is in good shape, the greens are hard and any shot that lands/rolls to the side will generally roll off. Greens putted fairly well. Previous reviews mentioned to poor condition of the bunkers, but it is obvious that they have been working on them. Beechwood has three 9 hole courses so variety is the name of the game there. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and we definitely will return in the future,
NOTE: did not utilize the snack bar so I cannon comment on that aspect.
