Going down fast
Used to be a really nice course but this was the worst I ever seen it. Rough tee boxes. Dead areas in the fairways. Lot of dirt. Construction. Greens punched and didn't warn us. Fairways punched so they made us do cart path only. Very bad experience overall.

Good value
1st time playing this course, a nice Metro Park course!
Excellent
Last minute round at legacy. Got paired up with two ladies and one senior. Had a relaxing, enjoyable and entertaining round. The greens were a little bumpy because it was late in the afternoon. It’s probably best to go to the course in the early morning before heavy traffic. It’s worth the money. Enjoy

The course itself was well kept, staff absolutely Great! Took me 5 and a half hours to do 18. It’s not a long course but a lot of waiting on the back nine.

Mixed bag - Over zealous Marshalls Ruin a Good Day
Right off....the biggest reason for the two stars are the marshalls who are, shall we say, over zealous in executing their duties.
They are fast to chide you for falling behind after a bad hole (and some of the hole designs don't do anything to help this either) but do nothing to help pace of play such as assist in looking for lost balls which is the main delay on a couple of holes (again, due to how the holes are designed). They lurk on the front nine like a cop lurks in a speed trap. Really ruins a round when you are being watched like that.
Also confounding is that they don't recognize those legally carrying a handicap flag to gain greater access on the course as happened to one person in our group. We were told to get the cart away from the green in one instance with no regard for the blue handicap flag flying on the cart. A courtesy that should be extended to those who have legitimate accessibility issues like on most courses.
Also confounding: no drop zones, no seed bottles on the carts nor no seed buckets on tee boxes to fix divots.
Nice course
Course in good shape. Pace of play was great, layout is straight forward but a little short even on the tips.
Great course, questionable greens
Tea boxes, fairways, and rough we're all in great condition due to the rain we had earlier in the week. But the greens were full of pitch marks that people failed to repair. Since they are tearing down the sweet buyer 18, it seems as though everyone is playing the legacy course, and not taking care of it. Just know if you play later in the day you were going to have to compete with very bumpy greens

Sweetbriar Legacy in Great Shape
Legacy is fun to play; this afternoon was light play due to pending rain......and I did get wet, but intermittent rain, not enough to close the course. Back9 sty, #10 is tough par4, and didn't start playing well till front9, which scored -1 due to 13putts (birdies 2&5). Nice to see tee #6 moved back to origy position, which results in a great hole. Thanx to GolfNow for the great price ....and I will be back.

Bad conditions
Played today worse conditioned course I have played all year. Bunkers had rocks in them and the greens were horrible with huge gashes and imperfections everywhere.

Fun course and good conditions
I enjoyed the layout of this course and the conditions were pretty good. All of the staff was very friendly. Lots of unfixed ball marks in the greens but may have just been the people I was playing behind. Little pricey though.

Nice course, too high of a price
Staff was very friendly, no issues from the starter or ranger.
Overall the course is in good (not great) condition. For the price would have expected the greens to be smoother, too many unfixed pitch marks. No sand bottles in the carts, so fairways were littered with divots.
For me personally, the course was a little too short. Only used driver on the par 5s and one par 4. Very basic and standard layout. Forced layups on most holes because of trouble placement or hole structure, made for a boring round.
For the price, I would have expected the range to be complimentary. And a few more amenities to be included and/or nicer. The range is SUPER short. I would never pay full price for this course.
Not worth the money, Not investing in the course
Sweetbriar is a good place for beginner to intermediate golfers. It seems like the owner is more interested in building more homes around the course than they are investing in the course itself. This course used to be a nice and tough track but they have not invested to keep it top shelf. This place is worth $25 to $35 per round.

Great Course
Haven't played here in a few years, since it hasn't been on GolfNow. Course in great shape, the Legacy side has always been the best side. Starter is really friendly and seemed to be a all around good guy. Can't wait to see the third nine after all the construction is complete....maybe an executive par 3 course is in the plans, that's would be awesome...
